Our Story .....

The company was founded as Con-Wal, Inc. dba Southwestern Sales Company in 1977 byDewey Walters, Helen Walters, and Joe Connerly in Hattiesburg, MS. Both Dewey and Joe hadworked for Indian River Breeder and Ralston Purina prior to starting the company. In 1980 theyopened a warehouse in Bentonville, AR with a small sewing operation and the business began aperiod of rapid growth, moving into a larger facility in 1981. In 1984 the Polylite brand name was developed and registered, and the “Red and Blue” stripes were born. Also in 1984, Dewey and Helen bought Joe Connerly’s interest in the business.

Over the next few years the company began to add new products to the product line, along withwider variety of different curtain materials. From 1992 through 1995 the company experienced tremendous growth of 88% and began a new building project. The company moved into larger facilities in 1996 when a new 33,000 sq ft facility was built on Highway 94 in Rogers on 12 acres, allowing for future expansion. The company also moved into the transportation and industrial tarp business to maximize the use of equipment and personnel. Around that time, a 2nd shift was added.

In December 1996, an automobile accident took the life of the company president John Walters,son of the founders. In April, 1997 Julie Hines, who started with the company in 1987 and worked her way up from receptionist to Executive VP, purchased the company from the Walters family. There have been 2 building expansions since that time, adding 25,000 sq ft of warehouse spaceand 1,000 sq ft of office space.

In 2002 the company moved into the Waste Industry and made its first acquisition under Julie’sownership. The company purchased the business operations of a manufacturer of tarps used asAlternative Daily Covers (ADC’s) at landfills. In 2006 the company added athletic field covers to the product line, and in 2009 developed the tarpARMOR brand for marketing all non-agriculturalproducts.

In early 2011 the company made 2 acquisitions; the company purchased the name and assets ofWhaleCo, LLC and Mercer Motor Works. The acquisition of WhaleCo gave the companyadditional diversity in its agricultural product line. Through the acquisition of Mercer Motor Works,the company now has a patented Tarp Deployment System (TDS) to compliment its other landfilland waste industry products.

Since 1977, Southwestern Sales has conducted business steered by deeply rooted operatingprinciples of integrity, quality and service. We place a very high value upon our customers, andrecognize that our success is very dependent upon their success. We think after 37 years, theseoperating principles have stood the test of time, and will continue to lead Southwestern Sales andour customers into a successful future.

ENDORPANEL-POLYEnd Door Panel solves the age old problem of inefficient and leaking end doors. Available also in insulated material, the End Door Panel not only reduces energy usage, but also seals air leaks thereby improving static pressure.

FANSHUTFan Shutter Panels are insulated pan-els which allow the grower to cover those fans not used during periods of minimum ventilation. With a center section which can be opened with an easy zipper design, Fan Shutter Panels provide great energy savings.

FDP66X66Fan Door Panel is the ideal way to prevent cold air from blowing back into the house through leaking fan shutters. The fan door panel can be custom-designed to cover banks of fans during minimum winter ventilation and vastly reduce energy consumption.

#NETTINGLivestock netting is a high strength yet lightweight confinement barrier made of high quality Polypropylene. This chemical resistant and rust proof netting is ideal for poultry and swine facilities. Available in widths up to 8’ and roll lengths of 500’.

FANCVRFan Covers are excellent protection from leaking fan shutters during cold and windy conditions. Available in light weight poly or heavy duty Black/White vinyl and a wide variety of sizes, Fan Covers can save you money.

SH700Shade cloth is a great material for blocking sunlight in exposed areas. Considerable heat relief can be attained by blocking up to 70% of sunlight with our shade cloth. Avail-able in many widths and lengths, call for more information.

FANCAPFan Cap w/Elastic provides a great seal around fan cones to prevent cold air from blowing back into house. With its flexible elastic band, the Fan Cap can fit a wide variety of fan cones. AIR CHUTE

Air Chutes provide a great means to prevent cold air coming into the house when the fans are not in use. They mount permanently to the fan and are adjusted to provide maxi-mum air flow.

CURTAIN

SUPolylite® Super set the “Standard” for clear poly sidewall curtain. Our exclusive folded tape process gives our Super Polylite the strength and durability to truly be the workhorse of the industry.

TIPolylite® Titan is the premier curtain material in the industry. With a 14x14 weave and 1300 denier tape. Titan has the strength and flexibility to work in a wide variety of applications from live containment barns, to greenhouses, or other industrial applications

PEPoly Econo, with 9x9 weave is the perfect solution when the application calls for a low cost material, but one which is durable and can be expected to provide good service and long life to the end user.

PMHPMH is a 5.3 oz version of the Poly 1200. Still a 12x10 weave, the PMH has a lighter coating and provides good light transmission.

BOPBlack/Black Premium is a high quality black on black material which is used where heat reflection is not required and light control is primary impor-tance.

BWPBlack/White Premium is our highest quality material which provides excel-lent heat reflection but allows for ef-ficient light control inside the facility by limiting light transmission.

WWWhite/Black/White Poly was specifically designed for those applications where heat reflection was very important, light trans-mission had to be eliminated and a white, highly reflective interior was required. With its black scrim and white coating our White/Black/White meets the challenge.

BUPoly Blue/Blue is commonly used in temper-ate climates where heat reflection is not a major concern and modest amounts of light tranmission is acceptable. Our Blue/Blue curtain is ideal for providing a soft blue environment within the facility.

PSHPoly 1200 is a heavier poly material in a 12x10 weave. When the budget can’t afford Titan, PSH provides excel-lent durability and is the ideal choice when a heavy duty, clear curtain is needed.

WATER CLEAR VINYLWater Clear Vinyl is an excellent product when durability and light transmission are a must. Water Clear comes in 16oz. weight only.

CURTAIN

BUHPoly Blue/Blue heavy is ideal for those windy situations which require a more durable material than our lighter weight Blue/Blue. Still an excellent material where heat reflection is not a major concern and modest amounts of light transmission is preferred.

BUWHPoly Blue/White heavy is a very durable curtain material which is recommended in high wind areas. Normally used where heat reflection is desired but minimum amount of light transmission is needed.

YYHPoly Yellow/Yellow is a heavy duty and durable curtain material which provides good light transmission with a soft yellow haze in areas where heat reflection is not a major concern.

CV10 oz. Frosty Clear Vinyl is a very durable, lightweight vinyl which will provide good light transmission but eliminate some of the heat issue of a clear sidewall curtain.

CVH13oz. Frosty Clear Vinyl is well suited as a moderate weight material which provides good light transmission but suffficient opacity to eliminate most of the heat issues of a clear sidewall curtain.

CVX16 oz. Frosty Clear Vinyl is a heavy weight material for applications requiring high durability. When abra-sion is a factor, this 16oz. material can handle the challenge.

WV10oz. White vinyl is the ideal material when the application calls for a lightweight vinyl, where heat reflection is required and mini-mal light transmission is necessary.

BWV10oz. Black/White vinyl is the perfect light-weight material to provide heat reflection and, with its high quality black coating, minimize light transmission.

INBWBUB3- Layer Insulated Curtain consists of 2 layers of Black/White Poly material sewn together with 1 layer of 3/16” bubble insulating material in the middle.

INBWBUBD4- Layer Insulated Curtain consists of 2 layers of Black/White Poly material sewn together with 2 layers of 3/16” bubble insulating material in the middle.

INS7- Layer (White Vinyl) consists of White Vinyl sewn together with 2layers of of poly as a moisture barrier and 4 layers of insulating material in the middle.

RTC320Clear Repair Tape is specifically made for the purpose of repairing holes in poly wo-ven material. Our high quality repair tape keeps a small problem from turning into a large one. Available in rolls 3”x20yds.

Horizontal seams or vertical seams do not reduce the warranty of the curtain. Vertical seams are run as “angled” seams to prevent the seam from building up on itself when the curtain is used in roll-up applications.

LIMITED WARRANTYSouthwesternSalesCompanywarrantsallpoultrycurtainfabrics,withtheexceptionoftheEconomylineofcurtainmaterial,soldbyittobefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormaluseandserviceforaperiodofthree(3)years.TheEconomyLineofcurtainmaterialshasaLimitedWarrantyforaperiodofone(1)year.If,duringthewarrantyperiodmaterialisfoundtobedefective,SouthwesternSalesCompanywillrepairorreplace,atitsoption,thedefectivematerial.Thecostofthereplacementmaterialwillbemade on a pro-rate basis.Purchaserswillbecharged1/36thofthereplacementcostforeachfullmonththematerialwasinservicewithoutreporteddefect.Freightchargesandlaborexpenseforinstallationofthereplace-ment material are not covered in this warranty.
