Page 2: Southern Kentucky Antique Trail

The trail will take you through five cities and towns in southern Kentucky. You will visit Franklin, Bowling

Green, Scottsville, Tompkinsville, and Glasgow. Along the way you will drive through one of the most beautiful countrysides in the nation. All of these towns on a small

loop that begins just off I-65 at Franklin, KY and ends back near I-65 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. If you are headed south on 65, then you can run this in reverse.

As you travel through this area, I urge you to take a few hours off from the interstate to enjoy all that we have to offer. This travel guide will take you throughout southern Kentucky and lead you into the doors of some of the country’s leading antique shops. With so much selection, you are sure to find all sorts of new (actually old) and interesting items.

Franklin, KentuckyFranklin is just north of Nasheville, within

an hour’s drive. Franklin is home to one of the largest antique malls in the south:

Bright’s Antique World. Besides brights there are several more shops and malls.

Scottsville, KentuckyA quick trip down state highway 100 will move you into Scottsville. On your way into town you will come upon Crossroads Anttiques. You will also find the Scottsville Antique Mall on the town square. Crossroads has a wide selection of primatives in a very well decorated enviro-ment. The mall is a little over crowded and on the lower end of high quality items, but still has a nice variety.Just outside of town on 231 you will find McClard’s An-tiques. McClards has consistantly been rated as one of the top primative antique stores in the nation.

The good stuff is still there. From Glassware, advertising, and furniture to military, unique and decorator’s antiques. Both shops are located in one block on Main St.
