No playing “On the hill”
During home football games, all students are required to sit in
the bleacher area with parents or friends. Please discuss with
your children for safety reasons, playing “on the hill” is not
allowed. The same goes for volleyball games. Children should
sit with their parents in the bleachers with parents or friends
and not run around the commons area or building. Thank
you.
There is an App for that! By Roger Stumpf, Secondary Principal School has started and assignments are being made. Do you know how your students are doing? You can keep track of your students’ grades on a daily basis with the Powerschool mobile app. Simply go to the app store and search for Power-school. The PowerSchool app allows you to easily review grades in every class for all of your students in one convenient place. Jump back and forth between children (secondary and elementary in one spot), track absences, click on grades to review individual assignment scores, link di-rectly to the teacher’s school email account if you have questions, all from the convenience of your phone. Once you have the app downloaded, use the school district code SRLW to link to Southeast of Saline. Student schedules had par-ent log in information printed at the bottom, or you can call the school for assistance.

Under No Child Left Behind and the Na-tional Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002, the military must be given ac-cess to names, home addresses and home telephone numbers of all high school students UNLESS you instruct the District not to disclose such information. This information is used by military recruit-ers to send your child materials on the various military services and even contact your child personally. If you DO NOT want the District to furnish your child’s information to military recruiters, you must return the coupon printed below by Sept. 30. If you have a son, he still must regis-ter for the Selective Service. Nothing in this document exempts males from that duty upon reaching his 18th birthday.

Scholastic Book Fair—Elementary Library
Here it comes! Make sure to mark your calendar for September 26-30, Monday through Friday, 7:45am-3:30pm. Parents, feel free to browse the Book Fair. Many, many, many thanks to our parent volunteers. You are the ones who make our Book Fairs possible. Thank you! (pictured below: Students enjoy a book fair from the past) Reasons to shop our Scholastic Book Fair:
Our library benefits with each purchase! (We earn Scholastic dollars to purchase books throughout the year from the Scholastic Warehouse for our library.)
Books available for everyone in the family to enjoy (preschool to adult).
One stop shopping!
NO Shipping fees! NO waiting for the book to arrive by post!
Books make great gifts! Christmas is coming!
Surprise your child’s teacher with a purchase for the classroom
Continue supporting the SES Elementary School
by sending in all the UNEXPIRED box tops you collect. It is greatly appreciated!
Every week a member of Parents Club counts box tops and is amazed at this easy way to collect
money for our school. As you know, each UNEXPIRED box top is worth 10 cents towards our parents club. Yes, each box top has an expiration date on it, so please check that before you turn your box tops in; because if it is expired we have to throw it away! It is appreciated to have them submitted in a baggie or envelope with your first and last name on it, including your teachers name also. Parents Club submits them to the box top company in groups of 50, so they reuse the baggies to send them in when they mail them to Michigan. Once in a while you will see a collection sheet, feel free to submit your box tops this way. Each month we put the names of everyone who submitted box tops into a basket. It doesn't matter if you submit one or 1,000. We draw out 3 girl’s names and 3 boy’s names. The winners get a goody bag to show our appreciation for collecting the box tops.
The box tops collection spot is in the bucket located in the library.
Thank you for your support
