Big issue recently with over-flight permit enforcement.
During a six (6) week period at end of 2014, three (3) aircraft
intercepted.
Permits were missing in each event.
One aircraft barely entered the airspace, where they had operated
for years without a permit.
Entire airspace now requires permission.

Taxi times may be up to 30+ minutes.

Singapore implemented ADS-B requirements in December 2013.
According to the AIP (5 MAR 2015) the following airways require
ADS-B equipage at and above FL290:

Like Singapore, Vietnam implemented ADS-B requirements in
2013.
L625, M771, N892, L642, M765, M768, N500, L628
However, only L642 and M771 are strict requirements.
Other six (6) airways, FL290 and above available for non-ADS-B
acft based on conditions and ATC considerations.

Hong Kong FIR
South East Asia
Like Singapore and Vietnam, Hong Kong began to implement
ADS-B requirements in 2013.
At that time, it was only in effect for two airways, L642 and M771.
As of 11 DEC 2014, however, ALL of Hong Kong FIR requires
ADS-B at FL290 and above.
Also requires RNP4 capabilities.

Prior to mid 2012, significant and strict sanctions were in place
by the U.S. government (OFAC).
Ops to this country were extremely limited.
Sanctions were eased in mid 2012 due to reforms made by
Burmese government.
While some sanctions remain in place, it is much easier to
operate to the country.

effects of the 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami on 11

Sendai was one of the hardest hit areas, in terms of aviation
