HOWARD JONESwith Jonathan Atkinson

Ordinary Heroes Acoustic TourKeyboard legend Howard Jones comes to town with a show featuring

new material from his critically acclaimed Ordinary Heroes albumalongside the hits such as What Is Love, New Song, Like To Get To

Know You Well, No One Is To Blame, Everlasting Love, Things Can Only Get Better, Pearl in the Shell, Life in One Day and the haunting

Hide and Seek.

This unplugged show will feature Jones on piano and vocals, accompanied by Jonathan Atkinson on drums and percussion.

With stories and anecdotes to accompany the songs, Jones will take you on an emotional journey through the classic hits from his

26 year career.

Considered by many as one of the godfathers of electronic music, Howard Jones has produced inspirational music since New Song burst

into the charts in 1983. With his new album Ordinary Heroes, Howard takes a fresh and exciting new direction, proving yet again that there is

more to his music and songwriting than synthesizers and keyboards.

When asked about the new album Howard said:

“The album Ordinary Heroes is my first studio album for 4 years and isa return to focusing on my first musical love, songcraft. The titlesong celebrates the unsung heroes of our society, those neveracknowledged in public, but bravely going about their lives with

courage and determination. “Straight Ahead” is about battling with theobstacles and difficulties of life and not giving in to defeat. “Soon

You’ll Go” tells the story of loved ones leaving home and the feelingsof those left behind who suffer their loss and at the same time

celebrate the beginning of their new independent life. Theinstrumentation for the album is voice, guitar, bass, acoustic piano,

vintage drums, a string quartet, and 3 part backing vocals.”

Howard Jones new album out now.
