Since it was established by the UK water industry in 1981, WaterAid and our partners have helped more than 21 million people access safe water and 18 million people access improved toilets. With your continued support we believe everyone, everywhere can have clean water by 2030.

New taps and toilets at the Chiobola School in Zambia are helping to keep children healthy. And hygiene education classes are teaching students the importance of handwashing for preventing disease.

Junior, pictured, said: “These toilets are beautiful! They have pipes and basins for washing hands. We learned to wash our hands at school and we tell our brothers and sisters to wash their hands too.”

WaterAid lottery:Your employees generously donated £2,245 through the WaterAid lottery scheme = 140 toilets in Zambia.

Bill inserts:Including WaterAid leaflets in your customer water bills has helped us to raise awareness and reach new supporters.

Last year, this raised

Since 1997 it has helped us recruit 3,685 new donors, raising an incredible £1,439,599. That’s enough to help 95,973 people get safe water.
