State HistoryThere are lots of state history in South Dakota. Like, in 8,000 B.C. the first people had reached South Dakota. In 1861 the U.S. government formed the Dakota territory. Wow! In 1897 an 8 year drought ended. Also through 1941-45 over 64,000 South Dakotans helped win world war 2. this stinks. In 1972 Rapid city canyon dam collapses. Also, in 1989 it’s the 100th birthday.

Dakota. some resources are Ears of corn, lumber, and lots of oil to. There are also tons of kinds of Fish. Beets, cacti, Turkey. Yum, Yum, Yum. Cattle, Pigs, Chicken, Horses, Goats, Sheep, hay, some gold, and also wheat.

WildlifeHave you ever wondered about South Dakota wildlife.

Well, there’s a lot. The state animal is a coyote. The ring necked pheasant is the state bird. And the honey bee is the state insect. Other wildlife are Buffalo, big horn sheep, rocky Mt Goats, Porcupines, Bobcats, pronghorns. There all dangerous. Prairie Dogs, Badgers, Deer, Elk, and Gophers are all awesome. Foxes, and Skunks, and Black bears. Oh my! Squirrels, Rattle snakes, eagles, and geese are common here. The last of the birds are Ducks, Swans, wild turkey, and owls. Finally Fish. There are, Walleyes, northern Pike, Bass, Trout, Bluegills, and Paddle fish.

Famous PeopleThe first famous person is Jesse James a famous

outlaw who robs banks and jumped devil’s gulch in 1876, another is Gorge “sparky” Anderson lead the Red’s and the Tiger’s to the world series, and also Gorge McGovern a famous World War 2 Bomber Pilot.

AgricultureHave you wondered what crops grow in my state.

Well, here are a few. Like, corn is a major crop. There’s also beets. EWW! Beets are so grouse. And also, there are many wheet crops.
