Transition Types1 – Staying on current DTV channel

The broadcaster is currently transmitting both and analog channel and digital channel, and at the transition will simply turn off their analog channel.

2 – Moving back to original NTCS channel The broadcaster is currently transmitting both and analog channel and digital channel, and

at the transition will move their DTV channel to the frequency used by their current NTSC analog channel.

3 – Moving to a new channel The broadcaster is currently transmitting both and analog channel and digital channel, and

at the transition will move their DTV channel to an entirely new frequency.

4 – Flash Cut (a) The broadcaster is transmitting in analog only now, and at the transition will turn off their

analog channel and start transmitting in digital on the same channel.

5 – Flash Cut (b) The broadcaster is transmitting in analog only now, and at the transition will turn off their

analog channel and start transmitting in digital on a different channel.

6 – Nothing
