Paraffins found in crude oil production continue tocause problems within the oilfield industry. With the number of maturing fields and new finds increasing, production companies are quickly facing this widespread

industry challenge.

At Huntsman Performance Products (Huntsman), we provide a numberof products globally to assist the oilfield industry in its quest to controlparaffins in oil production. Huntsman offers numerous pour point depressants for waxy crudes. Our chemistries work by modifying thecrystalline structure of the paraffins, making it difficult for them to form a “plug,” thus improving the flow of valuable hydrocarbons. Ourbreadth of products enables formulators to find the best product to match the paraffins found in the crude oil they are producing.

Additionally, Huntsman offers a full line of linear alcohol ethoxylates,which can be used along with other solvents, to help disperse theparaffins found in crude production.
