government for STGi services

Sourcing the Human M iss ion

Welcome to the STGi Contract Vehicles Booklet! The purpose of this booklet is to give you some insight into the several different contract vehicles that are available to current clients of STGi, as well as prospective new clients.

Inside you will find detailed information on all of the GSA Schedules, Contract Vehicles, GWACs, and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) held by STGi, Inc.

Differences Between a GSA Schedule contract and a Blanket Purchase Agreement

GSA Schedules: GSA Schedules are indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracts that are available for use by all federal agencies. Agencies place orders directly with Schedule contractors. Interagency agreements are not required when placing orders against Schedule contracts. Schedule buys are time & materials or fixed price/labor rates.

BPA: A Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is a simplified acquisition method that government agencies use to fill anticipated repetitive needs for supplies or services. Essentially, BPAs are like “charge accounts” set up with trusted suppliers. Both agencies and vendors like BPAs because they help trim the red tape associated with repetitive purchasing.

Key Difference: BPAs are negotiated on an individual agency level, and generally only a small number of agency offices can place orders on them. GSA Schedules, on the other hand, are negotiated with GSA only, and, upon award, any federal agency office may purchase from them.
