What is Music Therapy?Music therapy is the systematic, scientific, and creative application of music to aid in the achievement of specific therapeutic goals and to attain and maintain health and well being. Music therapy is an established allied health

service similar to occupational therapy and physical therapy. As a holistic treatment approach, music therapy

focuses on the well being of the entire person, not just the part which is diseased or in distress.

Collin's Story

The Unbroken Circle

Page 19: Sounds of Healing an introduction to music therapy Christian Nielsen MT-BC

There are loved ones in the glory whose dear forms you often missWhen you close your earthly story will you join them in their bliss

Will the circle be unbroken by and by by and byIn a better home awaiting in the sky Lord in the sky

In the joyous days of childhood oft' they told of wond'rous lovePointed to the dying Saviour now they dwell with him above

Will the circle be unbroken...

You can picture happy gath'rings round the fireside long agoAnd you think of tearful partings when they left you here below

Will the circle be unbroken...

I said a prayer for you todayAnd know God must have heard.I felt the answer in my heartAlthough he spoke no word!

I didn't ask for wealth or fame(I knew you wouldn't mind).I asked him to send treasuresOf a far more lasting kind!

I asked that he be near youAt the start of each new day;To grant you health and blessingsAnd friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for youIn all things great and small. But it was for his loving careI prayed the most of all!
