  • Drakes latest album Views has been widely anticipated by his dedicated (and very

large) fan base. This album is everything youd want and expect if you are a Drake supporter, without straying too far from

his comfort zone, but it generally seems to

work. It definitely will produce some

classic quotes has he does so well. Check it

    out on iTunes.

Beyoncs prior release also titled Beyonc) stunned the world as it dropped from the sky

and came hand-in-hand with a visual

accompaniment. Her latest release is a

powerful statement, which has half the world

talking about it due to comments (if you havent heard already then now is the time. If you have a spare moment watch the new visual

album on first listen. Also on iTunes and Tidal.

Hopsin has forged himself a successful career

    being an independent artist and

developing a core fan base using social

media and touring. After a falling out

with his record label co-owner, he has

comeback with a vengeance. This song is

exactly what it says, a more marketable

song adopting a more similar style to

that which dominates the market. The

lyricism and style is still distinguishable and

this single is definitely worth a listen for

any hip-hop head. On iTunes and

    Spotify.

  • Local Artist Tommy Haze Causes

Ruckus In Night Club Last night in Club Biology, South East London

rapper Tommy Haze was involved in an

altercation that ended with him and his

    entourage being kicked out

The night commencing 6th March 2016 at around

1.30 am in the morning, the Dont Bring It rapper was ordering a round of drinks for his crew when

secondary school enemy Petey Dunnham decided

to confront the emcee about an as yet unspecified

prior row. During the face-off, Hazes hype man Rane swung a punch at Dunnham that resulted in

his drink glass being smashed in his hand. Immediate retaliation from Peteys two friends ensued followed by the involvement of T and his other four friends. The bouncers did not

immediately spot the fight as the nightclub was

extremely busy, however, after recognising the

budding star and his crew from a incident in the

queue earlier in the night, the bouncers decided

enough was enough and threw the Young Master

Crew out of the nightclub. Footage of the incident

was captured on the mobile phone of an onlooker

and uploaded online, which can be found on our

    website.

Speculation around the cause of the incident is still on-going, whilst no legal sanctions have been

handed out to Tommy Haze, the Young Master Crew or Petey Dunnham and his friends, all involved in

the incident have been served with a three month ban from Club Biology. Many people close to the artist claim that the two havent seen eye-to-eye for the past seven years, stating that this is due to Petey Dunnham believing Haze has always been too close to his girlfriend despite Tommy claiming on several

occasions that they were just friends. Whether this is the case or not is still up in the air, whilst most

people who know the instigators of the fight claim that this is unlikely to be the last we hear of these

    two.

    marketing technique spot on.

BEYONC LEMONADE Beyonc drops a second visual

    album to accompany her entire

new project. This is definitely a

    powerful statement and worth

  • ON POINT

    PRODUCERS

Lex Luger Song of the month A$AP Ferg Let It Bang ft. Schoolboy Q Lex Luger produces one of the hottest songs this month, aided by one of the hardest beats allowing both artists to absolutely bring out two of their best performances.

Skrillex Song of the month A$AP Ferg Hungry Ham ft. Skrillex & Crystal Caines Skrillex adds to his increasing hip-hop/rap collaborations with this up-tempo instrumental, keeping his sound intact whilst allowing the mix of styles to come together nicely.

Snakehips Song of the month Snakehips Falling ft. Malika Snakehips add more memorable production credits to their catalogue with this beat that utilises a blend of live instrument sounds and synth sounds in order to create a timeless backing track.

40 Song of the month Drake Pop Style ft. Wizkid & Kyla 40 mixes up the sound that he captures so well with Drake and instead concocts an Afrobeat influenced beat with catchy riffs and which all the artists on board take on extremely well, creating a track to dominate the airwaves.

Mr. Porter Song of the month Royce Da 59 Layers ft. Pusha T & Rick Ross Mr. Porter produces a classic hip-hop beat that allows for any artist to flex their lyrical muscle, so throw Royce, Pusha T and Rick Ross over it, it creates a work of art.

    from

This album is perfectly paced in a time when so many hip-hop releases are high tempo, high energy

releases that blend into the crowd or fade into the ether of new releases. This album will definitely be

    remaining in my play cycle for a long time for several reasons. The first is the honesty that LaCue displays on songs such as Give Me The World, which details the not often discussed struggle of actually finding fame and success in the hip-hop world the entire song is full of quotable lyrics such as But you got obligations in time the streets will corrupt you/ and even well tell the truth they always seem to bust you/ and you aint got the time no reflectin or second guessing/ you fall in love in Oakland and take a flight out to Texas. Sylvan LaCue is as introspective as can be which is highlighted by the opening track Loner ft. Linzi Jai & Wishlade As far as the production goes, LaCue sticks with his close-knit team of co-workers and label mates;

this keeps the sound completely unique and allows him to capture his sound perfectly. The entire

concept of the album is clearly well thought out, as the album cover matches some of the minimalistic sounds that feature, as well as the tribal sounds heard the track Cruel World; everything ties together exceptionally well.

With the features kept to a minimum it allows Sylvan LaCue to flex his lyrical muscle and show off

his penmanship, keeping the album focused solely on him and what he communicates remarkably on

every song. Overall the album is definitely worth a listen and definitely will keep me waiting for more

    from Sylvan LaCue

  • In with an outside

    chance

This album is by Scottish quintet Frightened Rabbit. The album Painting of a Panic Attack is in the indie rock genre and definitely is relatable to far more than existing

fans of the group. This is as good an introduction as any to the group. The album kicks off as it means to go on with Death

Dream with abstract lyrics such as a still life is the last I will see of you,

a painting of a panic attack setting the tone. The album doesnt stick to the same pace with I Wish I Was Sober being more up-tempo yet just as deep in meaning in its own way. Painting of a Panic Attack continues on its introspective and chilling journey leading up to 400 Bones which definitely fits the bill and is a

standout track for both being in its own sonic space on the album, but also for the poeticism displayed. The whole album however is very figurative which makes it an overall impressive project. The album closes out on a minimalistic note with A Lick of Paint with very open lyrics and an extended instrumental to close the album

out. This is definitely a body of work worth listening to and is a very solid concept album.
