We are pleased to finally mention Souls Harbor Lighthouse Apostolic

Church has an official Bible Quizzing team!! The WOW'S (Weapons Of

Warfare)! These young people are spectacular! They study the word of God

daily and are challenged every Saturday to fully understand and know their

material. We have two quizzers approaching 100 learned scriptures. The

quizzers are well on their way to completing the book of Acts. What a time to

get to know our precious doctrine, to root these kids in the truth in our Lord

Jesus Christ. As most of Souls Harbor knows we took four of our senior

quizzers to the novice tournament in Paso Robles, California on January 7,

2017 and did they ever make Phoenix proud? Oh Yes! We did not get first

place, however two of our quizzers got in the top five scoring for the whole

senior tournament, making us the only team to have TWO quizzers in the TOP

5 what an accomplishment! These young people competed against churches

who have had 20 years plus experience!! We, as a team, learned an incredible

amount of techniques and information that will most surely help us for future

years. We all enjoyed this experience and hope to make this a building stone

The first month of a brand new year

has already become history. How did it slip

past so fast? I believe 2017 to be a year of

INCREASE! It is my prayer that each and

every one of you are ready to make the

needed sacrifice to reap this HARVEST and

hear our Lord and Savior say well done. We

live in perilous times and must work for

JESUS while it is day, for the Word of God

tells us night cometh when no man can work.

I am excited to welcome the Keith

Family, Bro David, Sis Carrie, Bro Mathew

and Sis Caitlyn. They have joined in our

worship and work during the yard sale.

Thank you Bro Mathew for the 4 new cordless

mics you donated to our church. Making us

sound better all the time and taking away all

those cords to trip on!

WOW is regrouping getting ready for

the new materials which will be received at

PEAK. Bro Leonard, Sis Karen, & Bro Noah

are doing an excellent job as coaches. We

were very proud of our Quiz team on our trip

to Paso Robles California. Please understand

saints they must raise funds all year for when

the competitions begin they will be so

frequent there will not be time to raise the

A big thank you to all who supported

the benevolence yard sale. It was so good to

see Bro Gregg and Sis Gloria able to come

work and fellowship this sale. Sis Karla put in

untold days and hours behind the scenes as

well as our Yard Sale specialist working when

she really should have been in bed! Thank

you, Sis for going the extra mile.

Thanks for all the prayers, meals,

cards, phone calls to Bro Tom and Sis Susie.

We continue to praise God for their survival

of the horrific accident on Christmas Eve.

Have any of you noticed the long

overdue Sunday School room remodel taking

place. The room where you enter the

baptismal room will receive its very own light

switch. The popcorn ceiling has come down in

progress of new texture, ceiling fans and

lights that will not be going on and off! We

will be combining classes until the work is

complete.

I request everyone help as we begin to

raise money for going to PEAK. We are

starting early to fill a calendar for the Month

of March which has 31 days.

We desire to reach for outside the church

funds from friends, family, co-workers,

classmates and teachers. Everyone who plans

to go this year will need to fill a calendar.

You may have your own fundraiser if

needed, to fill your calendar. This should

cover motel, food and registration.

We will need to raise additional funds

in order to prepare our vans to be road

worthy.

Friday Night Fire is an awesome

ministry God has placed at our doorstep and

in our hands. As with all ministries there is a

cost both in sacrificial labor and out of

pocket cost. This harvest is white and our

Lord is asking who will work this field. Last

Friday Night we had 92 in attendance and as

always we adults were extremely out

numbered. God help those who do not have a

burden to pray in the altar.

I believe I am most excited about

what I am hearing about the new BIBLE

STUDIES taking place. Bro Mendoza and

Bro Fernandez I am expecting increase in

the Spanish work. Jesus is coming let us help

the lost to find Him!
