Introducing Our New Director of Christian Education
Please welcome the newest addition to our staff, Yo Han Han, Director of Christian Education.
We had a number of applicants for the position of Director of Christian Education, but Yo Han Han was by far the candidate with the best fit for the ministries of Northridge United Methodist Church.
Yo Han is a lifelong Methodist. He received his bachelor’s degree in theology from Mokwon University in South Korea, and a Master of Divinity from the Claremont School of
Theology. He is ordained in the Korean Methodist Church.
For the last 10 years, Yo Han has faithfully served at Woodland Hills UMC as Assistant Pastor, Christian Education Director, Praise Band Leader and Ukulele Class Instructor.
We welcome Yo Han, his wife Sugyeong and their children, Claire and Sean, to the Northridge United Methodist Church family. Please keep Yo Han in your prayers as he starts his new ministry with us. – Susan Shields (Chair, Staff Parish Relations Committee)
Welcome!

FOOD NEEDED
Our church collects food each month for a UMC food pantry. If you can bring only one can or box a week that would really help others.
Canned fruits, vegetables, and soups are needed. Pastas, cereals, canned tuna or meat are so appreciated. Place it in the wooden cart in the office or
in the narthex the first Sunday of the month.

NUMW News
The saying goes it takes a village to raise a child, but for us it took a church to make apple dumplings. We made 225 apple dumplings, and we did it with the help of the "Apple Dumpling Gang (our bakers), the people (you members of the church) who donated supplies, and who purchased them as well. Thank you to anyone who helped or supported this project. We are so thankful to all of you. It was a great time and experience and we raised over $600. for the UMW Missions projects. Again, thank you.

2019 Income/Expense status
Through October 31, 2019 NUMC had $587,286 in income and $581,400 in expenses. A surplus of just under $6,000 through the first 10 months of the year. We all need to focus on our regular giving and our Christmas giving through the end of the year. Thank you for your generosity.
Individual Yearend Giving Statements will be distributed in January. If you need a year-to-date statement before yearend, please contact the church office.
Discretionary Care Fund
PLEASE HELP - NUMC has a Discretionary Care Fund administered by Pastor Choi on an ongoing basis. We need to be able to help members of our congregation when significant need arises. This fund depends upon the generosity of those members who are able to give beyond their normal giving. Everyone will have the opportunity to help build the Discretionary Care Fund through the special designated giving during the Christmas season.
