    Q: Does a soul enter the mothers womb during conception or in the course of pregnancy?

    A: Understand that the soul doesnt enter. If you are using the word soul as an alternate to the

    Sanskrit word Atma then this is wrong choice of word. Firstly, the right choice of word would be the

    individual soul, the jivatama not the atma and secondly, the timing of the individual soul to enter the

    womb is not during or post conception. The mind of the individual soul is already present, being pushedand pulled towards that right combination as per karmic accounts to be settled. And then the mind

    begins to open up itself. Its samskaras, impressions and karmic account and thenceforth the body gets

    created. So we can say that conception is followed by the presence of that individual soul right when the

    man and woman are in physical intimacy. So say those great evolved individuals who had the ability to

    see this happening. And its no small thing; its complicated and mysterious.

    Q2: Is there a process or special days to conceive a spiritual soul?

    A2: Well, this is not how things go about happeningthat by trying to conceive on holy days you will

    have conceived a holy soul as a baby being. You have to be a holy person; you have to be a great,

    spiritual, pious, honest, sincere and dynamic person. Only then there is the possibility of a spiritual

    person taking birth in your family. So, it isnt just the days and auspicious timings that invoke such a

    spiritual being to come to your womb. You have to become a great, grand, truly and utterly spiritual

    person to have such a possibility in your life.

    Q3: We know that the soul is immortal; it has no birth and death. Then who is reborn?

    A3: Who is reborn, if the atman is immortal? Ask yourself this question -- either the soul is not immortal

    and that is why it is taking birth. Then it would prove that the soul is not immortal. This means that the

    vedas are lying; this means that what I speak is a lie or you have not understood really and you are just

    repeating the things like a parrot. How does it make a difference if the Gita and the Upanishads aresaying that the soul is immortal? The question is, have you the experience that the soul is immortal or

    not? It ends up all on you, if you have not experienced this, then just parroting these great words will

    not help you a bit. So go deep within, explore your own self and come to the conclusion by your

    experience and know it for yourself -- whether it is mortal or immortal. For that you first have to know

    your body, then you will have to know your mind, then you will come to know the intellect and finally

    then you will move to the real Self. But before the real Self, there is a false self which you today think is

    your real Self. So after peeling off all these layers, then you may come to a conclusion. I am not going to

    give any conclusive answer to this question, because this is just speculation and with speculations, you

    will not reach anywhere. You need real-time experience and for that, you will have to go within.
