These are used for fulfilling educational requirements, community service for minor offenses, demonstrating your active participation in our community and acknowledging your generosity. WHY WE SORT & PACK HOW WE SORT FOOD HOW WE PACK FOOD Any food donated to the Food Bank must be sorted and categorized for distribution to agencies. We receive large amounts of food through community food drives and large food procurement partners. All of the food that comes in must be sorted so that we can efficiently distribute food to those in need. When you and your group come to sort and repack food, our team explains the process of sorting so that everyone understands which kind of items go into which bins. All bins are also clearly labeled making it super easy. Food is sorted into these specialty bins so they can be prepped for packing. All of our member agencies across our 11 - parish service area receive palletized boxes of food so that they can distribute to their clients in the most efficient manner. Our team creates an assembly line of sorted food products so that volunteers can help us pack boxes and ready them for distribution. SORT & REPACK | PERFECT FOR LARGE GROUPS VOLUNTEERS
