Empty Throne

A group of rebels plan and carry out a revolution against Kronos in Western Greece 2015. They must overthrow him to save the world and stop the titans from returning. Kronos has been planning his return since Zeus and the Olympians trapped him in Tartarus. The video will be set in a fairly enclosed area of forest with some shots showing wider areas of open space.

The Group of rebels will be portrayed by the band and they will be wearing a light coloured top and blue jeans with a red armband. Kronos and his wife Rhea will be portrayed by two amateur actors and they will be wearing all black and Kronos will be wearing a mask that is coloured in gold and silver and composed of two halves.

The First scene will have a panning shot of a sunset over Barbury Castle where the words ‘Empty Throne’ will fade in over the top.

The scenes after it will be a series of medium close –ups of the four rebels (band members) in their costumes. The background will be low lit as I want the attention to be on the band rather than the location to begin with.

After that the scene switches to

the 4 rebels lying on the floor in a cross

formation in the forest and they slowly get to their feet.

The Next Scene will be a close up of Kronos wearing a steampunk style clockwork mask. The lyrics playing in the song at this point are ‘The Empire built...’.

The scene after will be of a river and will be in black and white with a red pigment added to the water of the river. The lyrics playing will be ‘Washed away with guilt’.

The next scene has the 4 rebels standing up and glaring at the camera.

After that Kronos steps out from behind a tree still wearing the mask. He either laughs evilly or smirks.

For the first chorus the 4 rebels run through a forest and the camera angles vary depending on the beat matching.

Next one person crouches down in the forest and then glances around themselves quickly.

The next shot zooms in on a rebel twirling a stick in his hand.

During the lyrics ‘You can’t hold us down...’ the scene goes to Kronos and Rhea standing side by side.

Next the 4 rebels walk into a clearing of the forest where a black crown in hanging from a tree and balloons of watered down paint are being thrown around.

Over the instrumental part of the song there will be panning shots of the forest and river.

The last Chorus will have the rebels breaking into the clearing where Kronos is and bringing him and Rhea to their knees.

The last shot is of Kronos’ mask falling to the ground.
