STEPHEN PANNEER STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Diploma in Audio engineering and Music production "Audio engineer" is the word i been dreaming almost everyday from my high school. This is my goal ever since my schooling and honestly i loved to be called an audio engineer and never had any other career goals. I was playing music in a church then started to help them in audio setup and thats how it all started , steinberg nuendo is the first DAW which i tried to record music , though i had no clue about all the names of the controls in nuendo , i figured out to record a track stop and playback. Actually this was my inspiration which made me more curious to get deeply into audio, so i wanted to learn audio engineering but the education system here in india is different.Only SAE was providing audio engineering diploma course in india but my parents did not wanted me to take up a diploma course so i finally ended up in (5 year integrated course BSC+MSC ) Visual Communication. In this course we had few papers related to audio such as audio engineering theory, audio engineering Lab, Radio production theory, Radio production Lab, MIDI basics theory , MIDI basics lab. We had a wonderful audio engineer Jerry Rajadoss who was very much dedicated and passionate to teach us Audio, but unfortunately we never had any industry exposure because my University was located far away from coimbatore city, also we don't have any studios and proper live sound companies in coimbatore. All the Big studios and film industries are located in chennai which was far. but still i was always thirsty about gaining knowledge in Audio,so i went to chennai in the week ends and summer vocations to work with a live sound company called

STEPHEN PANNEERSTATEMENT OF PURPOSEDiploma in Audio engineering and Music production

"Audio engineer" is the word i been dreaming almost everyday from my high school. All the Big studios and film industries are located in chennai which was far. but still i was always thirsty about gaining knowledge in Audio,so i went to chennai in the week ends and summer vocations to work with a live sound company called audio sciences and learnt about signal flows and lot of stuff which i never learnt in the books. The syllabus regarding audio was very much limited in my course Visual communication. I wanted to learn everything that a professional engineer does but i couldnt learn more things especially about audio post production . At the end of my course i joined another live sound company Picture Production Ltd to work and i was there few months and soon realized that the amount of knowledge regarding audio was very much limited i came to my hometown and tried to build my own studio , learnt many things with internet such as building up a new studio and learnt things related to acoustics, even bought a livid brain jr and created my own midi controller and tried to do my music production . With the help of Internet i did my 8th Grade in classical guitar from Associated Board of Royal School of Music , London and also i took up music theory exams as well. But i felt these things were not enough for me to become good in music production. i wanted to know the latest techniques from Professionals. i came to a conclusion to take up proper and full time audio engineering course abroad where i can enhance my skill, I searched in the AES (Audio Engineering Society) education Directoryand found Tai Poutini Polytechnic . where I belive i can fine tune myself , find my unique talent and focus on a particular field in audio and develop my skills to commercially viable levels.
