If you enjoy variety, you can opt for Coffee Lounge’s buffet spread ($42 to $88). If a set menu sounds more attractive, check out the Chinese restaurant Min Jiang as well as Ming Jiang at One-North ($78 per person). The Deli is the best place to pick up deli- cious treats if you have a potluck party to at- tend. Our favourite is A Pot Fire ($138, pictured right), an old European recipe. This stew-based dish has smoked pork shoulder, pork belly and vegetables like turnips, pumpkin, carrots, cel- ery and more. Melt — The World Café offers traditional fare such as two versions of roast turkey with all the trimmings. Santa will drop by on Christ- mas Day to entertain the children at brunch. There’s also high-tea for those who are like- ly to sleep in most of the day ($55+++ to $145+++). Cherry Garden offers Cantonese cuisine such as a roast barbecue meat platter ($320+++ to $880+++); Dolce Vita offers views of the city skyline and Western favourites like pan- fried scallops, langoustine, truffle consom- mé on Christmas Eve and Day ($85+++ to $125+++). Angels careIf you see an angel when socialising at a bar these holidays, you haven’t had one too many. These angels known as Diageo Guardian Angels will encourage party-goers to call for a taxi instead of attempting to drive themselves home. In fact, they will dial the number for you if you can’t see your cell phone keypad because of excessive alcohol. This is part of Diageo’s Responsible Drinking campaign that is on until Jan 4. Diageo is a distributor of leading premium drinks.
Pan Pacific7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina SquareAt Global Kitchen, you get vintage Veuve Cli-cquot Champagne with your Christmas Eve din-ner, which will include oysters, foie gras, truf-fles and pudding ($188 without GST). Christmas Day lunch is $118 without GST.
Hai Tien Lo will serve lunch and dinner ($98 without GST) comprising crispy roasted suckling pig skin, honey-glazed pork and ab-alone. Dessert is chilled cream of mango with grass jelly topped with swiftlet’s nest.
Go Japanese at Keyaki. Dinner ($98 with-out GST) will feature delicacies such as angler fish in claypot, sea bream soup and other Jap-anese favourites.

The Prime Society10 Dempsey Road 01-20The Prime Society, among the newer estab-lishments on Singapore’s latest hip lifestyle hangout Dempsey Hill, is serving a mouth-watering Christmas Eve dinner. Turkey is on the menu but if you fancy a change, there’s grilled slipper lobster served with cranber-ry jam and pinenut salad (above). The three-course dinner is priced at $108++. Christmas Day brunch is $108++.

Il Lido27 Bukit Manis Road, SentosaSituated on Sentosa Island, this Italian restau-rant offers a view overlooking the South China Sea and a menu that takes your breath away. It has created a special lunch and dinner menu for the holidays. There’s homemade tagliolini pasta with goose liver, pears and marsala wine, roast turkey stuffed with pancetta and truffle with apple and chestnut puree (below), and Chilean seabass with porcini mushroom, po-tato cream and red wine sauce. Lunch menus cost $58+++ and dinners, $98+++.
