INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Soothing Songs BearTM

learning toy!

Soothing Songs BearTM is sure to help baby relax and fall asleep. This soft cuddly bear plays 32 soothing melodies along with 2 comforting sing-along songs to gently lull baby to sleep. The bear’s soft glowing tummy provides comfort. Soothing Songs BearTM comes with a volume control switch for quieter play and the electronics can be easily removed so that the bear can be washed.

INSTRUCTIONSBATTeRY INSTALLATIoN1. Make sure the unit is turned oFF.

2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the removable electronic box located inside the back of the bear. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.

3. Install 2 new ‘AAA’ (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)

4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONSToensureyourchild’ssafety,thisproductshouldonlybeassembledby an adult.

ReMoVABLe eLeCTRoNIC BoX

1. To remove the electronicbox,openthe Velcro on the back of the bear. There is a button on the left side of the electronicbox,pressthebuttonto detach and remove the electronic box.

2. To insert the electronic box, presssame button used to remove the electronic box and click it into the tabs inside the back of the bear. When the electronic box is inserted correctly you will hear a click sound. Push the electronic box into the back of the bear and seal the Velcro.

SWITCH located on the removable electronic box inside the back of the bear to the LoW VoLuMe ( ) or the HIGH VoLuMe ( ) position. To turn the unit oFF,slidetheoN/oFF SWITCH to the oFF ( ) position.

2. AuToMATIC SHuT-oFF Topreservebatterylife,theVTech® Soothing Songs BearTM will

automatically power-down after the music has ended. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the light-up star button.

ACTIVITIES1. Slide the on/off switch to turn the

uniton.Youwillhearasong,phraseand a short tune. The light will fade in and out with the sound.

2. Press the light-up star button to hear a variety of songs, phrases,nature sounds and melodies. You will hear approximately 10 minutes of music play after each press of the button. The light will fade in and out with the sound.

3. Hold down the light-up star button to stop the current response.

1. Please turn the unit oFF.

2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.

3. Lettheunitsitforafewminutes,thenreplacethebatteries.

4. Turn the unit oN. The unit should now be ready to play again.

5. Iftheproductstilldoesnotwork,replacewithanentiresetofnewbatteries.
