Our 2013 Fund the Future, presented by Kaiser Permanente, supports essential reading programs that foster literacy skills and reading comprehension for our at-risk elementary school kids. In Sonoma County, we believe that every child deserves to know how to read, building their chance for a better future. Currently, more than 50% of Sonoma County’s third grade students read below proficiency. Your donation to our Fund the Future will help dramatically increase the number of Sonoma County children who learn to read, and then succeed. By simply raising your paddle, you can create a ripple effect in a child’s life that leads to a better future for each of them and our community as a whole.
