Spring Music Program 2017 Second Grade Poems

Peter Ping and Patrick Pong By Dennis Lee When Peter Ping met Patrick Pong They stared like anything. For Ping (in fact) looked more like Pong, While Pong looked more like Ping. The reason was, a nurse had changed Their cribs, and got them wrong – So no one knew, their whole lives through, That Pong was Ping; Ping, Pong. Three Stings By Shel Silverstein George got stung by a bee and said, “I wouldn’t have got stung if I stayed in bed.” Fred got stung and we heard him roar, “What am I being punished for?” Lew got stung and we heard him say, “I learned somethin’ about bees today.” Flag By Shel Silverstein One star is for Alaska… One star is for Nebraska… One star is North Dakota… One star is Minnesota… There are lots of other stars, But I forget which ones they are.
