PlotIn the beginning of the story Percy findshimself being chased by monsters and is in

the Berkeley Hills. The goddess Juno asksPercy to carry her to Camp Jupiter. Percyfinds friends to go with him named Hazeland Frank. At the camp Percy immediately

is put in the 5th cohort (100 soldiers) andput on the quest to kill a giant. His friendsgo with him. The team goes many placesfighting many monsters.

Plot no. 2The team comes across a very smart harpy

and the Amazon tribe (conveniently runningAmazon the store). With the Amazons there isa horse that runs faster then the speed of light.The kids are captured by the tribe but break

free with the horse. The gang then rides on thehorse to Alaska, gets attacked by moremonsters and a giant. They defeat the giantbut dont kill it.

Plot no. 3After they defeated the giant and captured alegions eagle they got on the fast horse got

and got back to camp which was beingattacked. The legion eagle killed manymonsters and the Amazons attacked themonsters too. At the end of the battle thetroops killed the giant without many casualties

winning the battle for New Rome (the camp).Finally the Greeks sent a message sayingwere coming with a warship leaving acliffhanger for the next book.

Character trait no. 1

I think Hazel is unusual. One reason I think this

is because she can summon diamonds at a

moments notice and if you take them

something terrible will happen to you. A secondreason I think Hazel is unusual is because she

died and was reborn.

Character Trait No. 2I think Frank is special. One reason I thinkthis is because Frank can turn into

animals like elephants. A second reason Ithink this is because if one certain stick

burns, Frank will die.

One important event is when Frank finds outhe can morph into animals by leaping and

becoming a eagle. This is important because

he can fight in the form of a dragon or hide

in the form of a mouse.

Important event no. 2Another important event is when Percy and the

cohorts defeat the monster army. This is

important because the monsters cantreanimate anymore. This means New Rome

has won the battle.

Character Changing No. 1

Percy changes a lot during the book. Oneway Percy changes is when he finds his

only human brother, Frank. Percy thought

he was the only son of Neptune until then.

This made him very happy .

Another way Percy changed throughout thestory is when the kids defeated the giant

king. Percy finds that his brother, Frank has

cooler powers than himself. Percy finds

hes not the only one with powers.

Setting The major setting is Camp Jupiter. In the center

there is the city where the Coliseum and the Little

Tiber are. In the Southeast there is the Temple

Hill where the gods are worshipped. In the west

is the Barracks where the cohorts sleep. (I looked

this place up on Google earth and the area it is

situated is real.)

Why I chose this book

I chose this book because it was the nextbook of the Heroes of Olympus series. I

like action and the description. Also Rick

Riordan is my favorite author.
