 Costa Rica does not have many bands or a lot of musicians as other many countries have; but the people that are integrating a band here in our country know, like and enjoy what they do. This is the special secret for being successful in life.

Gandhi  It is a Costa Rican rock band formed by Luis

Montalbert-Smith , Federico Miranda , Abel Guier and Massimo Hernández .

 Their albums are: El Jardín del Corazón (1997)Páginas Perdidas (2000) BIOS (2002)Ciclos (2004).

  I like this group because the same as me they do not like the wars and weapons, they think it is not necessary in life; also they are against to domestic violence. The band with its music try to transmit to everybody that way of thinking, as well as make us more annalistics humans being.

Malpais 

Its integrates are: Fidel GamboaJaime GamboaIván RodríguezGilberto JarquínManuel ObregónCarlos "Tapado" Vargas   This band tries to make a mix between many

musical structures of Costa Rica´s folks genres such us: calypso and tambito with easy-listening jazz and also they add romantics lyrics to their songs. They are named the same as a beautiful beach of our country has in its north Pacific part.

This band has been formed since 1999 to present, they have and extraordinary music and as the same to many others bands of Costa Rica they is looking for being original ones and take into account the traditions music we have in our country.

Percance This band was formed since 2006 and its gender is:

ska, reggae, latin and Spanish rock.

This band was created since 2006 and they have got some important reconictions in “Los 40 Principales en España” for example. Something I consider paramount is the effort they have had and the achievements they have got; for me this band is an inspiration. They have reached what they have wanted with their enthusiasm and dedication.

Akasha

This band was funded in 2004, its integrants have different professions like, lawer, teacher, cinema production and so on. It has been aware for los 40 principales in Costa Rica.

I think this group has important values such as: perseverance, determination and strength in order to continue and create good music. Something I like from this band is that many of the integrants have other professions different to be musicians. It makes me think; anything you have reached in your life, if you have other dreams, or inspirations, with dedication and perseverance as those bands have showed us, you could get it, it does not matter what it is, if you want it you get it. Take it for granted.
