The Right Decision

Chapter 1

Day 1 – New Terminologies

Making decision, zakat, curse, abuse

Discuss the new terminologies through:

1. Making decision: give options to the children like who wants to do the

activity before the break and who wants to do it after the break. Some

will decide on the first option and some on the second. Tell them that

you have to decide sometimes from the options given and at other times

you can decide on your own.

2. Zakat: Tell the children that zakat is the money that is taken from the

rich and given to the poor. They can give some amount from their own

money also if they have some extra money apart from the money they

have for buying something.

3. Curse: tell the children that cursing are bad words that people say to

others. Cursing is a very bad habit. They should never curse anyone

anytime.

4. Abuse: Abuse is of different types like, physical abuse and verbal abuse.

In verbal abuse you use bad words for someone and in physical abuse

you hit, kick or fight with a person. All kind of abuses are very bad habits

and they should never do it with anyone.

Home Work Idea: Ask your parents how they pay zakat every year.

To whom do they pay their zakat every year?

Ask the children what they know about Hazrat Abu Bakar.

Ans. Hazrat Abu Bakar was an honest person. He took money that was enough

to feed his family and not more than that.

Q 3. What would happen if people stop giving Zakat?

Ans. Zakat is the money which is collected by the rich and given to the poor. If

the rich people stop giving Zakat, then the distribution of money will be upset.

The rich will become poorer. To keep the balance of money we must circulate

money evenly among the people. Zakat is very important to be collected from

the rich and given to poor people.

Q 4. Why Abu Bakar’s friends didn’t want him to fight the people who

refused to pay Zakat?

Ans. Hazrat Abu Bakar’s friends didn’t want him to fight the people who

refused to pay Zakat, because they thought it was not an important issue to

fight for. Secondly Hazrat Abu Bakar was the new Muslim leader so he should

be avoiding fights. Hazrat Abu Bakar followed the path of Islam. He obeyed the

orders of Allah and Prophet Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص and sent the army to collect Zakat

from the rich.

Read the life skill related with this chapter. Discuss the exercises given with it.

Then the children will do the exercises with the teacher’s help.

Home Work Idea: Write a few sentences about how you control your feelings

whenever you feel:

Angry, hurt, sad, happy and excited.

Read and explain the Civic skill. Discuss the civic skill exercise with the children.

Ans. 1.Hazrat Abu Bakar and Hazrat Omar both were very close to the Prophet

Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

2. Hazrat Abu Bakar and Hazrat Omar both became the leaders of the Muslims

after the death of our Prophet Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

3. Hazrat Abu Bakar and Hazrat Omar both lived very simple life.

4. Both the leaders wanted to take care of Muslims as a responsible leader.

Q 2. Why Omar didn’t let the store staff carry the food stuff for him?

Ans. Hazrat Omar carried the food stuff on his back to the woman’s house

because it was his responsibility as a leader that his people have the basic

needs of life i.e. food, shelter and clothing. So he provided the food stuff to the

woman to feed her little girl then went to sleep.

Q 3. Why Omar didn’t introduce himself to the lady that night?

Ans. Hazrat Omar didn’t introduce himself to the lady in the night because he

wanted to serve the Muslims, so that they live a peaceful and happy life. He

never lived a prestigious high level life of a leader, but a simple living person

like his people like a common man.

Q 4. What made Muslims happy during the time of Omar?

Ans. Hazrat Omar’s time was when Muslims became happy and healthy

because:

1. He listened to the problems of the Muslims in the Masjid-e-Nabvi. He

tried to solve their problems.

Muslims were sleeping safely or not.

3. 3. He lived a simple living, ate simple and less food and no luxury but

Discuss the new terminologies through:

Donate: Tell them that the money or things given to the people who are

unable to get them is called donation.

Attack: Show them the pictures of battles and the people attacking each other.

attack our enemies in order to save ourselves.

Ans. Yes, Syed Ahmed Shaheed was successful in his mission to win freedom

for the Muslims. The reasons were:

kind of problem. Note it down. Think about some ways to solve it. Use your

best quality to solve that problem. You can take the help from your family

members and your friends also.

Read the life skill. Then review how you solved the problem. Think about what

could have been done better.

Discuss the new terminologies through:

Salary: Bring money to the class and show them that when you work at some

place or any office or school or at any other place, you get a certain amount set

by the company at the end of month as a salary.

Health care: It means good health. You eat a healthy diet, do exercises, go

early to bed and rise early to keep your health fit and to care about it.

Clinic: show pictures of clinics and hospitals where there are all kind of

medicines, bed, rooms and different kind of machines are available to care for

everyone’s health whenever a person is sick.

Job: Show different pictures of jobs to children. Ask them what each job is

about. What each person does in his profession?

Ans. Education is the most important for the people. For a respectable position

in society we should educate our people. Schools, universities and colleges

should be built to make education reachable for every person.

Clean atmosphere, clean water, better medical facilities like clinics, hospitals,

medicines, medical treatments and diagnosis is within the reach of common

man. These medical facilities should be available.

Ans.If people are not safe in a country then,

1. The move to other countries for jobs, and living standards.

2. People will not invest and start new business in an unsafe country.

3. When people will not start business then no new jobs will be generated.

4. No jobs, no business then the country will go in loss and no

advancement and progress further.

5. No safety means people will develop fear and law and order situation

will be worse. Crime will increase.

Q 3. What’s the difference between the people who have freedom and the

ones who don’t have it?

Ans. People who have freedom mean they can follow their religious activities

freely. No freedom means people live in a restricted atmosphere. They are

forced to follow other religions. No space provided for religious customs to

follow on their own way.

Q 4. Why it’s a bad idea to force your religion on others?

Ans. Religion is the most important belonging of a person. It is your soul and

thoughts, your belief and tradition. But you cannot force anyone to follow your

religion as it comes from your heart, soul and your inside.

Our Prophet Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص never forced the non-Muslims to follow the

right path of Islam. People realized through the teachings of Prophet

Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص the meaning of Islam, they accepted and followed the path of

Islam. The Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص made the people accept the

greatness of Allah and the religion of Islam. But our Prophet never was strict

and harsh and forced the people to follow Islam.

freedom in their country was a dream for them. This made them away from a

respectable and honorable citizen life of their country. They hated English

Language, their dressing style and even good education under the Indians and

British. They had a feeling of being useless and leftover in their own country.

Everything was out of reach for a respectable life.

college?

Ans. The Indians and the British were in good and controlling positions in the

country. If the Muslims started going to colleges they will be educated and will

gain good government jobs, and better living for themselves. This was

unbelievable for the British and Indians. They wanted the Muslims to be away

from colleges, good education and better lifestyle. They wanted to keep the

Muslims under their feet and live a slavery life. For this purpose they wanted

to keep the Muslims from good education and colleges.

Ans. A good college not only provide an environment for academic studies but

services. They open the vision and awareness of students for future career

opportunities. They shape the students of today into professionals of further

society. They encourage, support, and stimulate the students for future

Chapter 7

Day 1 – New Terminologies

Drainage system, water channels, punishment

Discuss the new terminologies through:

Drainage: Take them out and show the drainage pipes that take out the dirty

water from the wash rooms and kitchen.

Water channels: Show them the water pipes through which clean water comes

to our homes and schools.

Punishment: Tell them that there are different kinds of punishments. Some

like when the children are punished to stay in the class or finish their work in

the break time. Some are very hard like when Allah punishes the people who

do wrong things that are against the teachings of Allah.

Home Work Idea: Collect pictures of some very old places. Observe them

closely.

Q1. How the people of Mohenjo Daro did become rich?

Ans. The people of Mohenjo Daro grew corps, made jewelry, statues and metal

tools. They did trading and earn lots of money. Life was good and settled

because of becoming rich.

Q2. What was the most amazing thing they built?

Ans. The most amazing thing they built was the Mohenjo Daro City. A planned

and clean city. Houses made from hard bricks. Streets were straight and a

drainage system was build. The drainage was done by water channels and the

dirty water went out of city through it. They also build a Swimming Pool for the

town of Mohenjo Daro. Water from the River Indus reached the town through

water channels and filled the large swimming Pool.

Q3. What happened to them when they crossed the set limits of Allah?

Ans. The people of Mohenjo Daro city became rich and proud. They like

dancing without clothes on. This was crossing the limits and so Allah gave them

punishment. The river Indus which facilitates them with its water became

disaster for them. The water rose and covered the city with mud. The whole

planned organized city of proud uncontrolled people was covered with water

and mud of River Indus and buried for over.

Q4. Why shouldn’t we cross the limit set by Allah?

Ans. The limits set by Allah are the boundaries between good and bad things.

To do the good things said by Allah and keep yourself away from bad things.

People who do good things and become proud and start doing bad things

which is disliked and forbidden by Allah, they are punished and destroyed by

the orders of Allah.

Day 1 – New Terminologies

Border, location, trade, glaciers

Discuss the new terminologies through:

Border: Bring a world map to the class and show the children the border line of

the countries. Tell them that it’s the ending line of something. Then tell them

the location of our country as they have already learnt how to locate any place

on a map.

Trade: Tell the children that we do trade by giving our country’s products to

other countries and buy their products. Show them the pictures of different

things that we get from other countries through trade.

Glaciers: Tell the children that glaciers are mountains of ice. Show them the

pictures of glaciers.

Home Work Idea: Draw a map of Pakistan. Color the different provinces with

different colors. Show the border line clearly with different neighbors on its

sides.

remove all the dirt. After that it was put on another machine and was hot to

remove all the colors and pictures on the can. Then the hot machine melted

and pour them into molds and was made into solid bars called ingots and then

these bars were put into big roller machines and pressed into thin sheets. Then

machine separated the sheets with blades and roller machine made me into a

beautiful can. Finally the can was decorated with beautiful pictures and colors

and its look was completely changed.

Ans. In the end the can was feeling happy. First its new look overjoyed the can

on her writing table and color pencils and stationary was kept in it. This made

the can very happy and satisfied.
