2008 CPA rating of ‘3 stars’ – improving

well

High performing in many areas

Including :-

• customer satisfaction (place survey),

• educational attainment success

• road casualty reduction

• % of household waste taken to landfill

Solihull has a population of approximately 200,000, and is southeast of Birmingham bordering Coventry and Warwickshire

High variation between the mostaffluent and most deprived areas:• 3 of the wards in the North of the

Borough are in the top 10% most deprived wards in England

• We therefore place strong emphasis on Closing the Gap of Inequality with investment in the more deprived wards in the north of the Borough a priority and spearheaded by our ambitious regeneration programme.
