Acompletemeasuringsystemconsistsofthefollowingitems:

TheC-Boxisnotimplicitelynecessary,thusanadequatetoolcanbeusedbythecustomer.IncaseofawrongconnectiontheC-Boxensurestheprotectionofthesensor.

Function
Thesensorisworkingaccordingtothelatestmicrowavetechnology.Itisexclusivelyusedinmetallicducts.Ameasuringfieldisproducedbyspeciallinkingofthemicrowavetogetherwiththeduct.Themicrowaveenergyisreflectedbythesolidparticlesandreceivedbythesensor.Thesesignalsareevaluatedinfrequencyandamplitude.Thesensorworkslikeaparticlecounter,whichcountsthequantityofthemovingparticlespertimeunit.Duetotheselectivefrequencyevaluationonlymovingparticlesaremeasuredanddepositsareignored.Thecalibrationofthesensorismadeintheinsertedcondition,simplybypushingabuttonandenteringofthereferencequantity.
Using
SolidFlowisasensorespeciallydevelopedformeasuringtheflowrateofsolidsconveyedinmetallicducts.Ithassuccessfullybeentestedforonline-measuringof:

Themixturesarecreatedwithaweighinghopperinasandwich-likemanner.Thereareproblemswiththedosageofthesmallquantitiesoftheadditionalingredients.Fortheweighingofthesmallquantities,thebalanceisnotlaidout,sothattheproportionedquantitiesarenotreproducible.
Benefit:
ByusingSolidFlowthedosageoftheadditionalingredientsbecomesreproducibleandabetterbalanceoftheusedquantitiesispossible.
• Totalizing
Thematerialsupplyfromthesilototheseparatorissubjecttostrongfluctuations.
Benefit:
ByusingSolidFlowtheprogressofthemassflowismeasurableandcanbedocumented.Ifnecessary,aregulationcantakeplace.Bythemeasurementofthecoarsegrainfromtheseparatortothemillthemealqualitycanalsobemonitoredinthefuture.

ByusingSolidFlowthemonitoringoftheconveyedquan-titiesbecomestransparentandtheproportioningcanbechangedtoacontinousoperation.
• Free Fall Applications
Theconveyedcementquantityismeasuredbyabeltweigher.Thismeasuredvalueformsthereferenceinputforthemeasuringofiron-II-sulphate.Thishastobemadewithaproportionof0.2…0.3percentage.
Benefit:
ByusingSolidFlowtheactualvalueofthemeasurediron-II-sulphateismeasuredandregulatedbythevelocityofthescrewfeeder.Theresultisaconstantproductquality.
• Polystyrene Proportioning System
Smallpolystyrenepelletsaresupplementedasadditionalbuildingmaterialintothesolidmixer.Thequantityisdeterminedbythemeasuredvolumeofthebin.
Benefit:
ByusingSolidFlowthemeasuredquantityofpolystyrenepelletscanbemeasureddirectly.Acomplicated,inter-mittentvolumeregulationisnotnecessaryanylonger.Byachievingtheweightpreselectiontheconveyanceisstopped.Theresultisasubstantiallyimprovedproductqualityaswellasasubstantiallyimprovedcost-benefitratio.

Forthemountingofthesensorthefittingpositionwillbedeterminedaccordingtheinletandoutletsection.IncaseofductdiametersgreaterthanØ200mmonehastoinstall2or3sensorspermeasuringunit,whicharelocated150mmapartfromeachotherandmovedby90°resp.120°towardseachother.Withfreefallapplications(e. g.afterscrewfeedersorrotaryvalves)afreefallheightofatleast300mmwouldbeperfect.Thesensoraccommodation(socket)willbeweldedonatthefixedposition.SubsequentlydrillaØ20mmholeintotheduct.Thenyouhavetoadaptthesensortothewallthicknessandwiththehelpoftheunionnutfixed.Readytomeasure!
