CHECK
apollo® Magna and apollo® Compact are modular products, therefore, no Quotation is necessary. The same applies for Modular blanks of apollo® Slab Tech and apollo® Wood.
Products which carry a disclaimer will require customer sign off before orders are processed.
Sheridan require the customer or designated person to be on site to sign off the template. The visit will be aborted if no one is on site (at an additional cost).
Changes to extras - The customer must have the PO back to us 4 days before installation or Sheridan will contact them to reschedule the job to the nearest installation date available.
Ceramic, Composite and AXIX undermount sinks and those with fitted waste disposers require support cradle fabricating by the customer’s kitchen installer/joiner. Sheridan will not install these sinks without one of these in place.
Sheridan will be unable to proceed to manufacture if there are any unsigned/unauthorised extra costs present, which require a revised PO. Any delay in receiving the PO can effect the installation date.
Signed off templates do not require drawing approval. Sheridan will supply a production drawing for customer reference only.
If changes are required after the template visit, Sheridan will send new drawings to the customer to sign off for final approval before commencing manufacture.
Sheridan require the customer or designated person to be on site to sign off the project. The visit will be aborted if no one is on site.

Modular WorktopsModular Worktops are sold in pre-cut or fabricated sections in a selection of popular sizes; which allows professionals or competent DIY enthusiasts to cut and join worktops on-site.
We offer modular worktops ready to go, with 72 hour turnarounds in apollo® Compact, apollo® Magna, apollo® Slab Tech and apollo® Wood.
For our solid surfaces, apollo® Magna and apollo® Slab Tech, we also sell modular sections complete with sinks, making it even easier to produce stunning kitchens. We also have full training resources for these materials on our website, and on our YouTube channel at www.Youtube.com/SheridanWorktops.
apollo® Magna and apollo® Compact are only available as modular products.
Solid Grade LaminateSolid Grade Laminates are slim, dimensionally stable and highly resiient surfaces which are relatively new to the domestic market. They offer significant improvements over traditional chipboard laminate surfaces, at a comparable price point.
Solid SurfaceSolid Surfaces are favoured for their seamless joins, colour consistency, and ease of maintenance. These mineral based surfaces have lower fabrication costs than stone, and can be produced with fitted, moulded and even colour matched sinks.
Most solid surfaces we supply are comprised of a layer of mineral material, backed by a moisture resistant core. apollo® Slab Tech is different, as whether this is supplied in 20mm or 30mm thicknesses, it remains a single, uniform and full-bodied piece of material.
WoodWood is a consistently popular choice for kitchen worktops, favoured for its natural beauty, relative affordability, smooth finish and low maintenance. Our selection of hardwood worktops are available in both Modular and Bespoke options.

Product Overview
GraniteGranite is one of the hardest natural materials on earth, which makes it a great choice for kitchen worktops that last. Many granites feature beautiful crystallisation or veining, which make each peice completely unique.
QuartzQuartz, being a key ingredient in Granite shares many of the same traits. Quartz worktops, however, are man-made; which affords colour consistency, non-porosity and resistance to cracking to the materials’ properties.
Recycled Glassapollo® Recycled Glass is a stylish and ethically sourced material, which uses 70% crushed glass, alongside 20% quartz crystals to produce a glistening surface with the toughness of engineered stone; with chips up to five times the size of those in quartz.
CeramicCeramics are the result of heated minerals, fused together under heat and pressure. Tough, non-porous, and heat resistant, the Dekton® range of surfaces has an impressive catalogue of designs.
Sintered StoneSintered Stone is the next phase in evolution for engineered stones; using heat and vibrocompression to fuse together minerals, removing cavities between molecules to create an incredibly resilient, 100% natural and recyclable next-generation material.

Template & Installation
Stainless Steel or Undermounted Sink Cutouts - Important notesAll sink cutouts will be manufactured as per the sink manufacturers’ specification, unless otherwise requested in writing.
If you have a display, please consult the sink manufacturers technical brochure to confirm the cutout dimensions as recommended by the manufacturer.
Silicone sealant may be rendered ineffective when plumbing the sink in, it is important that the sink is resealed by the plumber, or the 12 months warranty will be invalidated.
Ceramic and AXIX undermounted sinks require a support cradle fabricating by the customers kitchen installer/joiner, Sheridan will not install these sinks without one of these in place
Template & Installation GuideSheridan reserve the right to make an additional charge in areas where congestion charges apply, including W1, W2, W8, W10, W11, NW1, WC1, WC2, SW1, SW3, SW7, SE1, SE11.For all off shore customers, Sheridan deliver to mainland portside only and additional charges may apply to these deliveries. Also, the following postcodes may incur additional costs (please check with our sales office)KW, IV41-49, 55-56, IV26.It is not unusual for a fine layer of dust to settle for up to 24 hours after installation.Maximum unsupported length is 300mm for all materials, other than apollo® Compact, which is 250mm; 20mm Slab Tech, which is 200mm, and unsupported 12mm Corian, which is 150mm. Any overhang which extends more than these limits must be supported.Templating is £180 net. Standard installation is an additional minimum cost of £360. A further cost may be incurred where additional installation time is required, our sales office will advise you of this cost if and when it applies. When installing larger worktops (such as Islands), or installing worktops on sites where access is difficult, additional labour may be required. Usually, we can provide additional manual labour costing £200 -£400. In some circumstances, specialised mechanical handling or lifting equipment may be required. Please consult our sales office for further details.
Our nationwide team may be able to offer a managed installation service for modular blanks. Site surveys are £180; with installation prices given on arrival.
Preparation for Template and Installation: Customer ObligationsPart of the process to manufacture and install worksurfaces is to “template” the kitchen, which finalises all of the measurements and specifications required to fulfil your requirements; to complete this successfully, we require preparation from the customer with the following :
Template Visit1. During the visit the consumer and/or an authorised signatory must be present to discuss,
agree and sign off the design and details of order.
2. A suitable parking position or permit must be supplied free of charge for Template, Installation and delivery of products.
3. We can template with existing tops or temporary tops in place, but certain criteria must be followed. Please see previous page for full details.
4. The sink, taps, hob and any other appliance which is to be installed into the worktop must be present. All manufacturers instructions must be present, also.
5. The planned position of sinks, taps, hobs, strip lighting, and any other appliance installed in the worktop must be finalised at template.
6. Gaps greater than 600mm require battening, and units which are greater than 600mm require battening in the service void.
7. When splashbacks are required, all items such as cooker hoods, wall units, sockets and switches must be in place for templating.
8. All alterations to walls/structures must be completed before templating. This includes plastering, boarding and skimming to all walls and reveals. Tiling and making good should be carried out post installation.
9. All units including peninsulars, islands and breakfast bars should be fixed to walls, levelled and plumb. They should be in their final position with all accessories fitted.
10.Range cookers must be on site at template stage, including installation instructions and any specific requirements such as clearance gaps.
11.All end support panels must be fixed in position prior to template. Support panels must be used between two appliances. Cabinet doors should also be available for reference.
12.The construction of the kitchen should be such that it is compatible with the surface type and weight.
If the above are not complete or available, the Templater will wait for up to 1 hour for this to be completed, if this is not possible the visit will be aborted and an additional charge will be applied.
Installation VisitDuring the visit either the customer or an authorised representative must be present to sign off the Satisfaction Note once the work is completed. If this is not possible the visit will be aborted and an additional charge will be applied.
All sinks and appliances must be disconnected and any temporary work surfaces removed prior to Installation. The installation cannot start if this is not complete and will be aborted, a charge will be applied.
If you need to clarify any of these requirements or to change any arrangements for the Template or Installation, please contact our Installation team.
Please note, installing cladding may result in an additional days labour, please contact our sales office fior further information.

Installation Kit £88apollo® Compact cuts a slimline, ultramodern profile at just 12.5mm, and offers incredible value with resitant properties well beyond its price point.
The technology behind this material is that of a solid grade laminate; which bestows surprising durability; self-supporting dimensional stability; and impressive resistances to water, heat, stain, graffiti and bacterial growth.
Solid-grade laminates differ significantly from traditional laminate worktops, in that the core is completely non-porous, and comprised of tightly packed celluloid fibres. In apollo® Compact, this core is solid and full-bodied, and coloured in Black, White or Grey; depending on the style chosen.
The absence of a chipboard core and hardwearing nature of apollo® Compact makes it an ideal choice for schools, laboratories and kitchens alike; with applications not just limited to worktops.
As a modular product, we supply apollo® Compact in blank sections which can be cut, shaped & joined on site.

apollo® Compact Styles Material Considerations
• apollo® Compact is a Solid Grade Laminate product, with a Black, White, or Grey core, which is dependent on the style chosen. This core is visible along the edge, and within any drainer grooves.
• apollo® Compact is hardwearing, self-supporting, dimensionally stable and resistant to impact. It is also resistant to fire and colour change.
• This material is non-porous, which means it will resist mildew & staining. Spillages should still however be wiped up immediately.
• The slimline 12.5mm profile of apollo® Compact makes it the ideal material for cladding; or to use worktop offcuts for shelving or windowcills.
• Please note, apollo® Compact contains veined patterns which mean that smaller samples may not be fully representative of patterns found on full sheets of this material.
Installation Considerations
11
• Material tolerance is ± 2mm
• apollo® Compact should be supported every 600mm
• apollo® Compact can be cut and shaped on-site
• A maximum overhang of 250mm should be observed at all times. Depending on the installation position and use, extra support may be needed using suitable wall battens or brackets.
• Allow a minimum of 50mm from cutouts to the front and back edges, and 120mm between two hob cutouts.
• Splashbacks and upstands above 100mm high must have a minimum gap of 50mm from the face of the material to the hob, for both Gas and Electric hobs.
• Hob flanges should sit on the aluminium thermal insulation tape around the cutout to avoid conducting excess heat.
• Plastering or tiling should be completed after installation.
• Flush mounted, recessed hobs (including induction hobs) are not covered under warranty.
• While we check batches prior to dispatch, we advise a dry fit before securing in place. We cannot offer refunds on materials which have been installed.

Worktop Downturns
Breakfast Bar Downturns
DownturnNo Downturn
A downturn refers to the worktop continuing along the front face of the worktop, i.e. the 6mm surface ‘turns-down’ from a horizontal direction to a vertical one.
For apollo® Magna, these downturn locations also signify where the solid surface material briefly continues along the underside of the worktop, as can be seen on the cross-sectional sample above (top left).
Worktops and breafkast bars have downturns on the three sides most likely to be exposed (pictured). If more sides, or curves are to be cut and exposed, these can be finished using endcaps. Full installation guides are available on our Youtube Channel.

apollo® Magna Urban U752New to 2020, apollo® Magna modular worktops will be available with the Urban 752 sink.
This modular sink (pictured below) is a single and half bowl combination, which incorporates a stainless steel base, along with walls made of the same resilient solid surface material as the worktop itself.

White Radiance
Lunar is a complex, gritty slate-grey worktop style, featuring speckled highlights and dashes of shadow, creating a glittering, canyonesque landscape from afar.
Blanco Verve recreates one of our most popular Slab Tech styles of 2019; White Carrara; and reinvents the format of veined, mottled greys against a clean backdrop under the affordable apollo® Magna banner.
Copper Pearl is a hot new take on classic quartz-style chipped worktops. Similar to Frost; Copper Pearl as the name suggests introduces complex colouration of pearlescent and copper flecks for a stylish new look.
Twilight Melange is a great new neutral style which is perfectly formulated for seamless joins. A light grey backdrop with dark flecks, this undersated new style is inspired by recent kitchen design trends.
White Radiance is an alternative choice for those who aim for simplicity. A consistent white backdrop, sprinkled with glittered fragments; White Radiance glistens in the light as you move around the room.

apollo® Slab Tech is one of our most popular worktop materials, a full-bodied solid surface, which is available in both 20mm and 30mm thicknesses; and is capable of seamless joins.
Because of its’ full bodied nature, apollo® Slab Tech can be cut into any shape or form on-site, without the use of edging strips or specialist equipment. As a man-made, mineral based material, it is also easy to repair, non-porous, and has high impact resistance.
This material can be purchased either in modular sections to be cut and joined on-site, or requested for fitting through our fully managed templating and installation service.

In order for us to correctly manufacture any cutouts for sinks not provided by Sheridan, you should consult the manufacturers guidelines.
As an example, this Franke specification sheet for an inset stainless steel sink (pictured right) explicitly mensions the cutout size required.
To minimise any chance of confusion, the specification sheet should be provided along with orders.
For fitted installations, Hobs and Sinks should be on-site during both the templating and fitting processes, so that we can verify the dimensions required for a flush fit.

Corian® is the original solid surface material, invented by materials specialists DuPont™ in 1967. Over 50 years of continual research and development; in combination with controlled distribution through their own quality network, has made Corian® an internationally trusted brand.
Corian® solid surfaces are comprised of 12mm mineral composite material, backed or supported by moisture resistant MDF. Solid surface as a material is capable of seamless joins, is easy to maintain and repair, and is exceptionally hygienic.
The Acrylic content of Corian® grants it the potential for thermoforming, in which the material itself is heated to a malleable state. The opportunities of this feature are limitless, which is one of the reasons why Corian® is favoured by architects and designers looking to achieve unconventional and unique shapes.
At Sheridan, we can produce Corian to any specification, including Thermoforming. As a trusted Industrial Partner, Corian® installations managed by Sheridan are also guaranteed for 10 years.

New Corian® Styles for 2020
Neutral Aggregsate is a concrete-styled veined surface. Shifting natural tones create a complex backdrop, against which the fine chips can compliment.
Beech Nuwood is inspired by natural woodgrain, and is unusual in that it lacks the usual stave division of wood surfaces. The result, is a brand new aesthetic.
Jade Onyx is a lucent material which is great when paired with tactile backlighting. This style has strong, jade veining in broad swirling patterns throughout it’s surface.
Domino Terrazzo is a mosaic style surface, with densely packed chips in shades of slate grey and charcoal.

• Corian® is an Acrylic based solid surface material, which is capable of seamless joins.
• Dark, heavily pigmented colours will show scratches, dust and ordinary wear and tear more readily than light or textured colours and should not be used in high traffic areas.
• This material is non-porous, which means it will resist mildew & staining. Spillages should still however be wiped up immediately.
• Abrasive scourers should not be used in everyday cleaning, as these may roughen the surface, making it more succeptible to future staining
• Some styles of Corian® have a veined appearance and are marked with ≈. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to changes in direction and patterns not matching up.
• Dark, heavily pigmented colours may show scratches and ordinary wear more readily. These are not advisable in high traffic areas
Installation Considerations• Care & Maintenance guides can be downloaded
from www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• Corian® should be protected from heat producing
appliances, using the heat resistant tape and alumium foil membrane included in the Solid Surface Installation Kit.
• Plastering or Tiling should be completed after installation.
• Sink cutouts are produced to the manufacturers’ specifications
• Splashbacks & Upstands over 100mm high should have a minimum gap from the face to the rear of the hob, 50mm for Electric and 100mm for Gas hobs.
• Allow a minimum of 50mm between cutouts and the front edge of the worktop.
• Allow a minimum of 120mm between heated cutouts.
• Joints should be a minimum of 100mm from sink cutouts, and 120mm from the hob cutout.
• Standard overhang is 35mm from unit carcasses.• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• For worktops with deeper downturns, we will
confirm the unsupported overhang on sales order.• The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above
a carcass end panel, for extra support.• Projects with cladding may necessitate an extra day
of installation.• A cradle must be used for support when fitting a
waste disposal unit to any sink from the Mixa range.

Hi-Macs® solid surfaces are produced by LG Hausys, the materials division of the famed electronics manufacturer. The Hi-Macs materials division has a huge range of attractive solid surface materials, each capable of thermoformation into uniquely shaped designs.
In sheets of 12mm solid surface material, Hi-Macs is backed by a moisture resistant MDF core. This in combination with a typical 38mm downturn gives the impression of a more full-bodied surface.
The Lucent range of Hi-Macs® solid surfaces are a semi-translucent collection which allow light to pass through, these can be paired with precisely positioned light sources to create dramatic design highlights.

• Apply a drop of water to test if the surface needs sealing. If it pools, no more sealing is required. If it runs or is absorbed, the worktop requires further sealing.
• Upstands are available up to 200mm high, in increments of 40mm, plus in 20mm splashbacks in square metres.
• apollo® Wood once treated and properly sanded will have a silk-smooth finish.
• Hardwood has a natural moisture content. Excessive temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause warping over time.
• Hardwood may contain knotting, mineral streaks, and variations in graining patterns and colour. These are traits inherent in wood and are not considered faults.
Installation Considerations• Installation guides can be downloaded from
www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm on bespoke
installations, and ± 5mm on worktop blanks.• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• apollo® Wood should be protected from heat
producing appliances, using the heat resistant tape and alumium foil included in the installation k+it.
• Standard overhang is 35mm from unit carcasses.• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above
a carcass end panel, for extra support.• Timber worksurface must not be installed in
unoccupied properties.• Worktops should not be stored for longer than 7
days, and if necessary, should be stored horizontally at room temperature, separated by four battens.
• Upstands should be fixed to the wall, not the worktop, with a siliconed 3mm gap for expansion.

Quartz is an engineered stone, chosen by thousands of consumers every year for its toughness, beautiful designs, and consistency; particularly when compared with natural stones such as Granite.
apollo® Quartz is comprised of 93% Quartz crystals, fused together with dyes and resin binders. This grants the material exceptional strength and durability; as well as the advantage over Granite of being non-porous, which makes it more hygienic and more resistant to staining.
The apollo® range of Quartz worktops covers a breadth of different styles. The classic Quartz look of chipped crystals can be found in most of our Band 1 Styles. Band 2 adds metallic finishes, with reflective inclusions which add a sparkle to the overall worktop appearance.
In our more premium bands, we have matt-effect quartz finishes in Band 3; which have a finely textured feel and a soft sheen. In Bands 4 and 5, we have our premium and exceedlingly popular veined styles, in the Lyskam Range, Calcutta Gold, Pietra Grey & Delphin Grey.
apollo® Quartz is available in 20mm or 30mm thicknesses, and can be included with edge profiles up to 60mm (30+30mm) deep. This material is tested to industry standards by FIRA; and is naturally resistant to mould, bacteria, mildew, staining and heat.

• apollo® Quartz is comprised of 93% quartz, and 7% polymer resin and dyes.
• Most apollo® Quartz styles include visible chips to some degree, which can vary between styles from prominent chips, to a fine powdered appearance.
• Chip size, chip density, and frequency of coloured chips may vary between small samples and full worktops.
• apollo® Quartz is scratch resistant, but not scratch proof. Use a chopping board.
• Joints will be visible, and are manufactured with a small ariss to the top edge, to prevent chipping.
• Some styles of apollo® Quartz have a veined appearance. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Quartz worktops may contain small pores on the surface.• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to
changes in direction and patterns not matching up. • While apollo® Quartz is non-porous and resistant to
staining, spills should be cleaned up immediately.• The crushed Quartz used may in some lighting appear
to have a granular texture. This can change based on viewing angle, and may make pieces from the same batch appear mismatched if placed at different angles.
• Drainer grooves and recessed drainers will have a slightly duller appearance than the worktop.
• Care should be taken around exposed edges, as chipping may occur if hit with sufficient blunt force. Double bevelled edges are included as standard to mitigate this.
• Some styles contain mirror or chrome flakes. The results of these may vary, and can include contrasting colours.
Installation Considerations• Care & Maintenance guides can be downloaded
from www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• Hob and Sink Cutouts may be reinforced using steel
support bars to prevent cracking of the material.• Complete Plastering or Tiling after installation.• Sink cutouts are produced to the manufacturers’
specifications• Splashbacks & Upstands over 100mm high should
have a minimum gap from the face to the rear of the hob, 50mm for Electric and 100mm for Gas hobs.

• Allow a minimum of 120mm between heated cutouts, and 70mm between sink cutouts.
• Joints should be a minimum of 100mm from sink cutouts, and 120mm from the hob cutout.
• Standard overhang is 35mm from unit carcasses.• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• Please enquire for extended overhangs on
20+20mm or 30+30mm worktops.• The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above
a carcass end panel, for extra support.• Joints above appliances are acceptable, provided
front and back support rails are fitted.

• Silestone® Quartz is comprised of 93% quartz, and 7% polymer resin and dyes.
• Most Silestone® Quartz styles include visible chips to some degree, which can vary between styles from prominent chips, to a fine powdered appearance.
• Chip size, chip density, and frequency of coloured chips may vary between small samples and full worktops.
• Silestone® Quartz is scratch resistant, but not scratch proof. Use a chopping board.
• Joints will be visible, and are manufactured with a small ariss to the top edge, to prevent chipping.
• Some styles of Silestone® Quartz have a veined appearance. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Quartz worktops may contain small pores on the surface.• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to
changes in direction and patterns not matching up. • While Silestone® Quartz is non-porous and resistant to
staining, spills should be cleaned up immediately.• The crushed Quartz used may in some lighting appear
to have a granular texture.
• Allow a minimum of 50mm between cutouts and the front or rear edge of the worktop.
• Allow a minimum of 120mm between heated cutouts, and 70mm between sink cutouts.
• Joints should be a minimum of 100mm from sink cutouts, and 120mm from the hob cutout.
• Standard overhang is 35mm from unit carcasses.• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• Please enquire for extended overhangs on
20+20mm or 30+30mm worktops. • The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above
a carcass end panel, for extra support.• Joints above appliances are acceptable, provided
front and back support rails are fitted.

apollo® Recycled Glass is one of our fastest growing lines, surging in popularity throughout 2019. This new material is comprised of 70% recycled glass, which adds appeal from both an ethical and an aesthetic perspective.
Sheridan are the only UK company with Recycled Glass worktops in batch production. This new style of material has a similar strength & appearance to large-chipped Quartz worktops; but with glass fragments up to five times the size. This glass is reinforced with Quartz crystals and resin binders to create a worktop with literal depth of character; and the quality to last for years to come.
With the strength of Quartz crystals reinforcing the high recycled glass content, apollo® Recycled Glass has the same resilience to heat, impact, abrasion and bacterial growth.
New to 2020 are two new variants of apollo® Recycled Glass. White Star and Gold Star. apollo® Recycled Glass is only available as part of a managed template & installation.
apollo® Recycled Glass WorktopsPrice per linear metre, includes double bevel edge detail, typical slab size 3000x1400mm
Gold Star Gold Star is a striking new addition to the range, featuring tasteful graces of shimmering gold. The backdrop is a cool concrete grey, interspersed with large, translucent glass crystals.
White Star White Star takes the concept of Recycled Glass to it’s purest form. This new style is a clean, white surface which gives way to the sense of depth created by the glistening crystals throughout its’ body.

Antique Pearl 100mm Sample
Some variants such as Antique Pearl (pictured) are rich in large crystals. These can be home to natural fractures in the material; and can be susceptible to cracking if hit with sufficient force. Lighter variants, too, are typically less dense, and while still resilient are comparatively weaker than dark or black styles.
All Granites have some degree of porosity, and are more susceptible to liquid penetration than man-made materials. Be sure to routinely protect Granite worksurfaces using apollo® Stone Seal every 6 months, or when a droplet test reveals it needs resealing.

Granite is one of the hardest natural substances on earth. Formed under intense heat and pressure beneath the earth’s surface over thousands of years, it has excellent durability and can contain spectacular visual characteristics.
Often chosen for its’ strong veining, beautiful crystallisation, and impressive strength, each piece of Granite is completely unique. Granite can be found with inclusions or crystals of any colour; and can have remarkable varieties in appearance, from densely packed crystalline structures, to the inclusion of bold, coursing veins.
We supply a broad selection of choices, ranging from the highly affordable Band 1 apollo® Granite; to specially selected premium Granites from around the world.
Our main collection as mentioned below is available in 20mm or 30mm thicknesses; which can be provided with edge details up to 60mm thick (30mm + 30mm).
We also hold a significant portfolio of limited supply and ex-stock Granite variants which are not listed below. Please contact our retail sales office for further details of our current stock.

• Granite is a natural material, and small samples may not necessarily be fully representative the visual elements found in complete worktops.
• Some styles of Granite have a veined appearance and are marked with ≈. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to changes in direction and patterns not matching up.
• Granite joints will be visible, and are manufactured with a small ariss to the top edge, to prevent chipping.
• Granite is more porous than engineered stone. Care should be taken, particularly with oils, and spills should be cleaned up immediately. Reseal every 6 months.
• Drainer grooves and recessed drainers will have a slightly duller appearance than the worktop.
• Granite can contain natural pits and fissures, these do not affect the overall strength of the surface, and are not considered a fault.
• Granite is scratch resistant, but not scratch proof, use a chopping board.
• Small scratches less than 25mm in length are within tolerance and are considered acceptable.
• Manufactured Granite can be susceptible to ‘blowing out’. This is very common in large particled Granite. Instances where this has occured are remedied using Epoxy resin.

New Sensa® Granite Style for 2020
34
Sensa Granite represents Cosentino’s foray into natural stone surfaces. This range of exclusive Granite surfaces sourced from India and Brazil is subjected to Cosentino’s invisible and long lasting protective treatment which protects it from household staining.
Sensa’s treatment is chemically bonded to the stone, allowing breathability while augmenting the surface tension. This means that liquids spilled on the surface will pool, rather than be absorbed. This works to prevent dried liquids from leaving behind hard to reach residue, which can give worktops a discoloured appearance.
The Sensa range includes unique styles available in a glossy Polished, or textured Caresse and Suede finishes - as detailed in the table below.
So confident are Cosentino that their treatment extends the useful life of Sensa, that this material is also covered by a 15 year transferable warranty.

• Sensa® Granite is a natural material, and small samples may not necessarily be fully representative the visual elements found in complete worktops.
• Most styles of Sensa® have a veined appearance and are marked with ≈. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to changes in direction and patterns not matching up.
• Granite joints will be visible, and are manufactured with a small ariss to the top edge, to prevent chipping.
• Sensa® is chemically treated to improve its’ surface tension. The material is guaranteed under manufacturers warranty for 15 years without resealing.
• Upstands & cladding may be cut from different slabs.
Installation Considerations• Care & Maintenance guides can be downloaded
from www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• Hob and Sink Cutouts may be reinforced using steel
support bars to prevent cracking of the material.• Plastering or Tiling should be completed after
installation.• Sink cutouts are produced to the manufacturers’

have a minimum gap from the face to the rear of the hob, 50mm for Electric and 100mm for Gas hobs.
• Standard overhang is 35mm from unit carcasses.• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• Please enquire for extended overhangs on
20+20mm worktops.• The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above

apollo® Ceramicá is a revolutionary new surface material, formulated specifically for exceptional performance and purity.
Impervious to all domestic misfortunes, apollo® Ceramicá can withstand hot pans, abrasive cleaning, direct chopping*, staining, and discolouration from UV exposure.
Produced solely from specially selected minerals, chosen for their resistant properties, apollo® Ceramicá is fully recyclable - as unlike Quartz it does not use resin binders. The material is sealed during manufacture and installation using a one-time chemically bonding treatment, which prevents any ingression of dirt, and resists staining.
apollo® Ceramicá is available in a range of natural hues, plus veined styles in the ‘Sand’ range. Pure Snow and Sea Jet utilise the exeptional purity of apollo® Ceramicá to produce quite literally, the Whitest White, and the Blackest Black.
*Direct cutting without damage to the surface, except in Polished finish; and from high-end kitchen knives.
≈ = Style contains random veining
In addition to its’ extraordinary resistances to impact, abrasion & staining, apollo® Ceramicá is UV stable, and is resists damage from any thermal shocks.
These material characteristics make apollo® Ceramicá the perfect material for outdoor applications, capable of lasting years with no signs of wear.

• apollo® Ceramicá is extraordinarily resilient, and can withstand hot pans placed directly on the surface.
• Most kitchen knives will not damage apollo® Ceramicá, allowing chopping directly on the surface. This excludes top chefs knives and the polished finish.
• apollo® Ceramicá is resistant to staining, graffiti, acids, alkalis, deep abrasions, fire, and is UV stable.
• Joints will be visible, and are manufactured with a small ariss to the top edge, to prevent chipping.
• Some styles of apollo® Ceramicá have a veined appearance and are marked with ≈. Veining is random, and smaller samples may not necessarily be indicative of full installations.
• Veined styles will have more prominent joints, due to changes in direction and patterns not matching up.
• Drainer grooves and recessed drainers will have a slightly duller appearance than the worktop.
• Care should be taken around exposed edges, as chipping may occur if hit with sufficient blunt force. Double bevelled edges are included as standard to mitigate this.
• apollo® Ceramicá is fully recyclable, as the stone mineral ingredients are fused by sintering, rather than with the use of binders.
Installation Considerations• Care & Maintenance guides can be downloaded
from www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• Hob and Sink Cutouts may be reinforced using steel

Dekton®, the Ultracompact surface, is a slimline 20mm ceramic worktop from Cosentino, the creators of Silestone.
This premium range of surfaces boasts an impressive catalogue of designs, which range from emulations of natural marble, to interpretations of the industrial concept.
As a Ceramic based product, Dekton® has fantastic resistance, particularly to heat, staining, impact and abrasion. Unlike apollo® Ceramicá however, the designs are not full-bodied; with edges typically following a single colour.
Dekton® boasts an alluring choice of finishes, from the subtle texturing found on certain styles within the Dekton® Collection; to the mirror like reflectivity of the XGloss Collection.

• Dekton® has excellent resistance to staining, scratching, impact and abrasion.
• Dekton® is dimensionally stable and resistant to compression.
• As a ceramic product, Dekton® has excellent colour stability, is UV stable, and resistant to heat, thermal shock, frost and thaw.
• This material is not full bodied, which means that the designs only exist on the main face of the material. Edges and drainer grooves will not continue the same patterns as found on the surface.
• Some styles of Dekton® have a veined appearance and are marked with ≈.
Installation Considerations• Care & Maintenance guides can be downloaded
from www.Sheridan-uk.com/Downloads• Material Tolerance is ± 2mm• Thermal Expansion is up to 1mm/metre• Hob and Sink Cutouts may be reinforced using steel
support bars to prevent cracking of the material.• Complete Plastering or Tiling after installation.• Sink cutouts are produced to the manufacturers’
specifications• Allow a minimum of 50mm from the hob cutout to
the front edge; 50mm from the back edge, and 120mm between two hob cutouts.
• Allow a minimum of 80mm from the sink cutout to the front edge, and 70mm between two sink cutouts.
• Axix sinks must be fully supported with framing on the underside.
• Overhangs above 300mm should be supported.• The worktop should be supported every 600mm.• Where possible, joints should be positioned above
a carcass end panel, for extra support.• Joints above appliances are acceptable, provided
front and back support rails are fitted.

Solid Surface repair after a holesaw incident.

Over prolonged period of use, you may feel your worktop doesn’t quite have that ‘brand new’ appeal. Solid surfaces and natural wood products in particular can sustain gradual wear and tear, which can diminish the overall appearance.
The Sheridan Repair and Rejuvenation Service has been established to help ensure satisfaction well into the lifespan of our surfaces, helping our customers to feel proud of their worktops for longer.
Solid Surface & Timber Restoration
Lacking the raw material toughness of natural and engineered stone, Solid Surface worktops can be succeptible to abrasion over time, which can both cause a visual roughness, and locks-in dirt and grime. This can cause the appearance of discolouration over time, despite the exceptional non-porous properties of solid surfaces.
We can restore solid surface worktops to a factory finish with the same sanding and buffing processes used during installation.
For natural wood surfaces, we can restore the natural beauty of your surface by sanding and re-oiling with our specially formulated treatment.
Worktop Repairs for Chips & CracksFor more serious eventualities, we have a range of methods which we can deploy to create seamless and unobtrusive repairs.
Solid Surface Worktops, particularly those with relatively homogenous designs, can usually be sanded and buffed back to a factory finish. For more serious cracks & splits in the material; we can often transplant matching material with near invisible joints.
Natural and engineered stone surfaces are typically much more resilient to minor damage, but they can still be susceptible to chipping if hit with sufficient blunt force.
Sheridan utilises the very latest techniques and equipment available to rectify material chipping; both on the top face and along the edging of worktops. Working closely with trade experts, we use colour-matched resin based fillers to ensure our repairs are long-lasting, and highly inconspicious.Repair works to a cracked Granite composite sink

Wood Care• After installation, use apollo® Ultra Worksurface
sealant to prevent the wood drying out and warping.• Reapply coats of apollo® Ultra Worksurface Sealant
in the first few weeks as the worktop acclimatises.• Use apollo® Ultra Fresh Mousse to provide a fresh,
protective layer on the surface, reapplying every 2-3 months, or to seal repairs.
Granite Care• Granite worktops are sealed during manufacture,
and during Installation.• apollo® Stone Seal should be used to restore this
protective barrier, which prevents dirt and liquid ingression. This should be reapplied every 6 months.
Quartz Care• Avoid rubbing Quartz with abrasive materials, using
a Foam Mark & Stain Eraser for persistant stains.• For persistant stains, use apollo® Stone Guard with
a longer contact time.• For Matt Quartz surfaces, use apollo® Matt Stone
Paste with plenty of water in a circular motion.
Solid Surface Care• Avoid abrasive pads for everyday cleaning, instead
using a microfibre cloth and apollo® Stone Guard.• apollo® Stone Guard will help to build a natural
patina over time, which will resist future staining.• Abrasive cleaning can roughen the surface,
increasing susceptibility to staining over time.• For more persistant stains, use apollo® Cream
Clean.
Granite and Wood worktops are both naturally porous, which means that liquids can permeate the surface, and leave residue which can discolour and tarnish your worktops. For this reason, we recommend regularly resealing these materials.
To test if your worktops need resealing, add a droplet of water. If the liquid pools (pictured), the worktops are likely sealed. If however, the liquid seems to be absorbed by the material - then it is time to reseal.

Natural Products
We understand the importance of correctly educating customers on their material choices. It is important to set expectations accurately to both inform the buying decision, and make sure your customers do not feel underwhelmed with your results because of unavoidable factors.
It is for these reasons that we developed the Natural Products section of the Sheridan website, an impartial reference guide which highlights key considerations for many of our products.
View online - www.sheridan-uk.com/naturalproducts
Natural Products offers guidance on material variance, particularly for veined colours which can often be the source of complaints.
Each product page follows an intuitive layout, which covers key considerations and includes an image gallery of material variance.
Many points are also covered in detail through articles.

Natural Products - Sales support resource
Within each product page, you will find key factors to consider when deciding on a material; with explanations, backed by in-depth articles to help you explain these considerations to your customers.
By using this resource to support your sales operations, you will be able to set realistic expectations for your customers; helping them to feel fully satisfied by your recommendations with no surprises. As a direct result, you should see less material complaints, allowing you to focus on giving the best possible care to new customers.
During our many years of experience in worktop manufacture, we have found that the same customer complaints arise time and again; the majority of which are linked to unavoidable material characteristics.
the Natural Products section of our website covers key topics of discussion in more detail to prevent such common complaints. Through illustration and in-depth description, this resource will offer guided reasoning to help your customers to temper their expectations.
A limitation which many of our retailers and distributors face is that veined samples are rarely a true representation of how a full worktop may appear.
The result is that some customers, having only seen a small sample could even be unaware that veining is a characteristic of the style chosen!
For this reason, we have introduced comprehensive image galleries for every veined material in the apollo® range.
The natural products resource gives particular focus to veined surfaces, which can be a common cause for customer complaints following installation.
For the purpose of clarity, surfaces are considered to be veined if they contain colours or patterns which are not uniform throughout the full surface. These styles while an excellent addition to any kitchen design, carry with them an level of unpredictability which can be a major factor in customer dissatisfaction.
Some of the common topics to consider are:-• Samples shown may not have been fully
representative of the full material characteristics, as shown in the diagram above.
• Customers will not instintively understand the location and appearance of joints. Because of this, they may not expect to see them in their finished installation, and are unlikely to understand the reasoning behind their positioning.
• Sheet size limitations - some designs, particularly those with wide breakfast bars and extended runs will likely encounter joints. Understanding the limitations of straight runs is important to setting realistic expectations of finished results.
• The appearance of the joints themselves can vary between materials. Stone, Solid Surface and Wood worktops each have their own considerations around joints, such as vein directions, scale of variances and joining methods.
