In October 2010 a pool of Italian consultant firms flows together in an partnership called
TERRAMAP®, with the intent that put all their experiences in a single, qualified and more
powerful organization, able to offer a very hi-specialized engineering services in the world of
Energy.
Terramap® is composed by a team of technicians having many years of experience which was
acquired among the most important Italian engineering companies, in the field of design,
installation and management of oil, petrochemical and manufacturing plants, power plants,
transfer plants (transmission lines, oil, gas, water pipelines etc.), methane supply, solid fluids
treatment (depuration) plants; all of them are absolutely qualified to supply the best and
affordable solution to any kind of industrial design, by a deep and complete investigation of the
purposed site .
Thanks to an accurate selection of its own staff and to an adequate organization of every phase
of the various project executions, Terramap® could supply professionally first-rate products within
very short time, in any case shorter than average and with the most affordable price.
Warm-water pipeline (Southern Italy 2005-2008)
Our main office is headquartered in Italy, in the North Italian Industrial triangle’s centre of mass
“Milan – Turin - Genoa”, in a small industrial town. Anyway we can follow any type of works all
over Italian National Territory and Abroad.
In a world where technology can take a complete survey with getting more and more miniaturized
tools, where a simple connection to Internet can help capture important cartographical data,
where a contract with the Space Agency permits to receive satellite surveys of big areas without
moving from its own office, Territorial Engineering Services have to adapt, grow, change
harmoniously together with all what have been its natural interfaces. The idea that created this
new Company started from this consciousness, and also from the willingness to provide a service
that attains 100% to the European quality standard.

Most part of Terramap® members gathers more than fifteen years of experience in Italy and
abroad in geodesy, territorial analysis, civil design and industrial constructions. Thanks to the
various and different experiences in engineering service related to the designing of technological
networks branch, our group might realize technical economic feasibility studies, general and
peculiar projects, surveys and environmental reports and all what could be necessary to realize
industrial plants in the energetic branch: electric power lines, oil pipe-line, gas pipe-lines and also
all the primary services such as: town-planning (streets, water main supplies, sewers) and all
what concerns the civil, mechanical and basic electric projecting.
Terramap® is not a huge engineering company, neither one of the biggest group in the world, but
every single work is scrupulously taken into consideration and analysed under any specific point
of view and detail to front every single unexpected event.
Logistics, methodology’s study and time management are concepts scientifically applied; this is
the reason we’re able to manage relevant and important projects; our main qualities are an

Company profile
Terramap® manager is Marco Campi, born in 1959 and freelancer since early 80s. His
experience started in Iraq in 1980, in quality of sites assistant during the building of the 220MW 6
units’ plant, managed by G.I.E. Group.
For the following years he developed and improved his knowledge working as technical
consultant among some of the biggest Italian Company such as SNAM, SAIPEM, ABB, EDISON,
TERNA and more over.
In the second part of his professional life he has been involved in a great quantity of project, very
different in contents and problems, especially in the field of power lines plants.
In the latest years he concentrated his assignments to develop environmental impact studies,
territorial analysis, main and peculiar oil electric power lines projects, gas pipe-lines and energy
production’s plants.

acquire all information, thanks to most modern equipment, like GPS technologies, aerial and
spatial survey, and so on. All data acquired outdoor are elaborate by absolute certified software,
just to the final issue of all drawings.

functionality, flexibility and compatibility. The layering of sensitive habitats and vegetation types

prime example of the power of GIS. Immediate access to existing environmental information
allows comprehensive yet efficient Environmental Assessment which is crucial for successful land
development projects.
Traditionally, transmission line design practices have been comprised of conservative
assumptions which easily model an elaborate and complex structural system. Continued
developments in computers and software have given us the capability of breaking these normally
inflexible traditions, and have allowed the industry the opportunity to re-engineer the entire
transmission line design process. Finally, the seamless integration of all aspects associated with
transmission line surveying, engineering, drafting, procurement, and construction is essential to
maximize the full benefits of the re-engineering effort.
Recent developments in surveying technologies have allowed the industry to re-think the station-
elevation-offset formats that designers have traditionally used for transmission line profile
modeling. Today’s generally accepted method of surveying is some form of three-dimensional
geographical information system (GIS) type representation. Data are usually collected in
electronic format, and the transmission line software must be capable of reading the data
intelligently in any form. Total Station, Geographical Positioning System (GPS), Photogrammetry,
electronic topographical maps (USGS), and scanned or digitized existing profile drawings have all
been employed to develop quick and relatively accurate terrain models for transmission lines.

Remote sensing is the acquisition of information about an object or phenomenon, without making
physical contact with the object. In modern usage, the term generally refers to the use of aerial
sensor technologies to detect and classify objects on Earth (both on the surface, and in the
atmosphere and oceans) by means of propagated signals (e.g. electromagnetic radiation emitted
from aircraft or satellites.
