Equipment in Solar Rooftop Project

Solar Modules Solar Modules convert the solar radiation falling on them

into DC Current.

Module Mounting Structures Solar Modules are mounted on Galvanized Iron or

Aluminium based structures designed according to

project’s wind zone.

Solar Inverters Inverters convert DC Current generated by modules into

AC Current typically used in our buildings.

Cables Cables are used to carry current from Modules to inverter

and inverter to building load.

The project was to go through scrutiny by Engineering and Project Quality teams at Welspun and IIT Kanpur both. Based in Wai, Maharashtra, Mapro Foods is a household name for its fruits jams and syrups. Maharashtra has one of the highest electricity costs in the country which prompted Mapro to build one of the first solar projects in Maharashtra in 2013. 350 kW project installed across eight industrial sheds powers its factory with solar power.

Medanta Hospital, started by Dr Tehran – world’s most renowned heart surgeon is amongst the best specialty hospitals in the country. The solar project that also serves as car parking was challenging because the hospital runs life sustaining electrical equipment and hence, power could not be be shut down for more than an hour even for project commissioning. Welspun Energy and Medanta trusted Gensol with the engineering and execution challenge again.
