Sojourners Courage Accomplishments

Sojourner slept in a room without any pillows, heat, blankets, beds, or privacy. Even though it was cold, hard, and tough but she made it through for multiple years

Even when her brother was sold she was strong and didn’t cry in front of owners courageous because it would be sad

when there was an angry mob at her speaking she stood and talked to them courageous because the mob could attack her

Even when violence was just around the corner she still fought for non violence courageous because many people who wanted violence would protest her

Sojourners courage accomplishments

Helped a sick man on her first journey courageous because could get sick and stopped the journey

When riding into a town she was faced by a mob who heckled her Courageous because they asked her tough questions and got angry with each response and could attack

Sued a white conductor for assault courageous because primarily white country and was likely to lose

At age of 60 went on a speaking tour courageous because people attack carriage and there is bumpy roads

Intelligent-yellowSojourner was intelligent when she beat a white man in court for her son which is hard to do because back then America was a primarily a white and man country The book said “the judge awarded the boy to his mother”.

Serious-blueAfter her son got in trouble with the law she sent him to sea. The book said “Peter signed as a crew member aboard the zone of Nantucket.

Cheerful-orange Made a polite conversation with Abe Lincoln. The book said “In my opinion your the best president ever”.

This represents sojourner because the black could stand for African Americans while the white for Caucasians. Or the black for men and the white for women co existing peacefully.

This would be sojourner’s place because men, woman, whites, and blacks are all together

Take some beef jerky with you on those long speaking trips so it wont go bad

An alternative to the classic beef jerky. Turkey jerky is the same as beef jerky just made turkey instead of cows

Corn is great because you can grow it in you’re on yard perfect for when you get sick and cant go out to get food

In addition to tasting good this is a source of fiber which will fill you up quicker than most foods good when less food id available
