INTRODUCTION
CDV Americas, a subsidiary of the CDV Group - one of Europe’s largest access control system manufacturer - is committed to a program of continuous enhancement for the Centaur product line. For the latest information please consult our web site at www.cdvamericas.com.
The Centaur software provides a user-friendly graphical interface to manage, configure and monitor access control systems from local and remote locations. The Centaur system can connect to one or more sites, each of which consists of one or more door controllers.
Each Centaur edition comes complete with all the software modules needed to manage your system on a single computer. Ad-ditional Centaur Workstations can be installed on one or more networked computers to manage the system. Supports multiple operators locally and in different locations and even using different languages.
There are four Centaur editions available to suit a wide range of installation sizes and budgets. The differences between each edition are detailed in the following pages. Every edition of Centaur includes several standard modules - Pro-Report (includ-ing Time & Attendance), FrontGuard, Locator, WavePlayer, FrontCard and FrontView.
The Centaur system optimizes user investment by providing a rich set of features including event recording, report generation, time and attendance data acquisition, real-time graphical interface and much more.

Elevator ControllerConnected to the CT-V900-A controller’s expansion bus, each CA-A480-A can control up to 16 floors. The CA-A480-A floor control relays can be interfaced directly with an elevator’s floor control buttons. When a valid card is presented, the appropriate floor control relays will become enabled allowing the cardholder to select the desired floor. Destination Controlled Mode, which requires a CA-A482-P Destination Reporting Module, offers far superior event trail and user accountability. In addition to these advanced floor and elevator control features, the CA-A480-A also features full supervision, backup battery and a fire alarm input.

Fingerprint Reader
Employing the latest digital technology, the DGID is a revolu-tionary finger scanner which measures both the pattern and thermal image produced by a fingerprint. The technology is based on “identification” and not “verification”, therefore a fast and reliable read is obtained without the need to present a “shadow” device to assist the scanning.
The device can be used stand-alone or as part of most access control systems either as a global reader device or coupled with proximity readers. Biometric finger-print reading is reliable secure and above all quick to operate. When a new user has been enrolled, a simple low pressure swipe of the person’s finger or selection of fingers will recognize them and validate entry asappropriate .
Fingerprint readers can be used site-wide or in high secu-rity areas with standard proximity or mag-netic stripe readers used elsewhere.
With industry standard Wiegand reader output connections to most third-party systems is ‘Child’s Play’. DGID/W readers from CDV can be installed on new or existing sites in whole or part as security requirements dictate.
