InDesign• Adobe InDesign is a page layout software, unlike Word, and it is

designed to handle images. When you place images in your document you have complete control; anchor them in place, wrap text around them, layer text over them, layer images, frame images. You can’t achieve this in Word anywhere near as easily, as reliably or with as much control.

• In InDesign you can create multiple page flyers, newsletters, brochures, books, reports, etc. I use this mostly for my layouts and more. You have more control over the text and adding or deleting multiple pages eg: like 100 or so. Its why I feel it is very essential to create a professional magazine as it gives you the freedom to play with the Typography.

• As well as the easier text threading you gain precise control over the size and layout of your columns.

• As well as because I am doing a print magazine, the quality is a lot better and more options are provided to have better resolution etc.

• This is just an example of what InDesign can do. I don’t take credit for this because I got this from the internet but that is my goal to create something that is aesthetically pleasing and that works in general. InDesign is a step for me to reach there.

Photoshop• Organization: With Adobe Photoshop, you can quickly and easily

import videos and photos into the software. Once imported, everything is neatly organized on the screen. This makes it easy to handle numerous videos and photos. Additionally, the proper organization of the workspace makes it easy to find editing tools and other features.

• Quick Editing: Most of the edits regularly done on photos can be completed with a single click. For example, it is possible to automatically whiten teeth or reduce red eye with the simple click of a button. On top of that, no professional training is needed to complete complex tasks like adjusting skin tone.

• Photoshop is easy to use once you learn the basic, but in terms of the ease of plying around with the typography it would be hard for beginner's, but you can change the typography in Photoshop.
