Seat ratings, indicated by solid lines in the graphs, are basedon differential pressure with the valve ball in the fully closedposition and refer to seats only. The dotted lines indicatemaximum working pressure for carbon steel valve bodies; formaximum working pressures of other materials refer to ANSIB 16.5 or BS 1560 part 2.
Low temperature service
Valves with PTFE(T) and filled PTFE(M) seats can be used inservice down to -70°C provided the valve body material issuitable for such a temperature and in the case of two-piecevalves, option 2 body fasteners are fitted. However, depend-ing on service some modification may be advisable for subzero temperatures, in such cases please consult Neles Con-trols. Refer to bulletin 1 CR 20 for low temperature and cryo-genic valves with extended bonnets.

Steam service(on-off application)
Valves with filled PTFE(M) seats and stainless steel trim arepreferred for steam service.Maximum seat ratings are:
17 bar for DN 15-150 (1/2"-6")10 bar for DN 200-400 (8"-16")
PTFE(T) seats can be used in dry steam service up to a max-imum of 10 bar.
Note
These ratings are a guide for general service. Please consultNeles Controls for specific recommendations.

= Output torque of actuator B1J/SP-SR and operator Mastergear.
The torque given for actuators B1J/SP-SR is minimum spring output (typicallyend of stroke). To achieve equal minimum output torque with air stroke a mini-mum supply pressure ps min. is needed.
The torque values are based on clean water service. For dry, cold (sub-zero),or difficult service multiply these figures max by 1.5.
For very difficult duty, dirty/abrasive/low temperature (below -30°C) or if polym-erisation could occur – consult Neles Controls for advice.

HOW TO ORDER
We recommend that Neles Controls ball valves are specified by description, including size, class or PN rating, ball type, flangedrilling and facing details, body, trim and seat materials, together with all relevant service conditions including method ofoperation.Specific valve identification is provided in the form of a type code which can easily be checked against the table below. Please note: Correct code combination varies according to material, rating, and size. Not all combinations areavailable or standard.EXAMPLE
