SODARSHAN CHAKRA KRIYA POSTURE: Sit tall in easy pose with your spine straight. MUDRA: 7he left hand is in gyan mudra (index finger and thumb tip meeting), resting on your left knee. %lock your right nostril with your right thumb. Inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril. Suspend your breath and mentally repeat the mantra :ha Hay *uru 1 times while pumping the navel as indicated here: chant the mantra while pumping the navel 3 times with each repetition of the mantra :ahe *uru. once on :$. once on HE (pronounced H$Y). and once on *858 for a total of 8 unbroken pumps or 1 rounds of :$HE *858. $fter the 1th repetition of :ah He *uru, block your left nostril with your right index finger, lift your right thumb, and exhale through your right nostril. 7hen block your right nostril again and continue. 1ote always inhale through your left nostril and exhale through your right, and only pump your stomach with the breath held in. 7o end this meditation inhale and stretch your arms up and shake your whole body to distribute the energy. POINT OF FOCUS: 7he eyes are fixed at the tip of the nose. (7his meditation is not to be done with the eyes closed.) This meditation is known as the most powerful kriya of the Kundalini tradition.
