OBJECTIVES
1. The student will use the internet to set up educational social accounts.
2. The student will use social media to submit and review educational materials.
SETTING UP A NETWORK PASSWORD (THE BLUE SCREEN)
• Student usernames use the following format:
LastName+FirstInitial+Last4digitsMSIS.
• For example SmithP1234 or Brown-JonesC5678 for those students with hyphenated last names.
• Students must first login to the MSD network and change their temporary password (Jan0001).
• Password: (First three letters of birth month and the year you were born)
• This username/password will work for your district email & my big campus.
TO ACCESS YOUR DISTRICT EMAIL GO TO…• www.mccomb.k12.ms.us
• Under district links choose district email.
• Enter your username: LastNameFirstInitialLast4digits of MSIS number (all one word)
• Password: First three letters of Birth month and fullbirth year. (all one word)
TO ACCESS MY BIG CAMPUS
• www.mybigcampus.com
• Under district links choose district email.
• Enter your username: LastNameFirstInitialLast4digits of MSIS number (all one word)
• Password: First three letters of Birth month and fullbirth year. (all one word)
• “As you may be aware, we are set to deploy My Big Campus in the McComb School District. My Big Campus is a facebook-like environment for teachers, students and parents. It provides a central access for classrooms, assignments, communication and a host of tools and resources for teachers and students”
THE ASSIGNMENT…

a. Attach at least one assignment; preferably your resume.
b. In the message please type the following: Good morning Mrs. Sartin. Here are the files you requested. Class/Period.
2. Go to www.mybigcampus.com and write on my wall! Upload a different assignment to your documents.
3. And finally with the time you have left over read a book using the Myon reader at www.myon.com I will check for the number of books you have opened, read, & tested.
