• Decently educated • Gentlemen • Most owned small farms or shops • Higher chances of keeping jobs • Had a good sum of money • Kept good USA spirit • Many affected by the Great Depression

farm laborers • Didn’t own much land • Hugely affected by the Great Depression • Millions unemployed due to lack of education
