Soccer Power Ranking Playoff Divisions 2018-2019 All CIF Southern Section Soccer Schools have been ranked based on the following information • 2017 Power Points earned (based on formula provided) (25% value) • 2018 Power Points earned (based on formula provided) (75% value) A first level team is a team which has won at least 75% of its games played. ( Examples: 20-0, 19-1, 18-2, 17-3, 16-4, 15-5) A second level team is a team, which has won at least 50 % but less than 75 % of its games played. (Example : 14-6, 13-7,12-8, 11-9, 10-10) A third level team is a team which has won at least 25% of its games played but less than 50 % of its games played. (Examples: 9-11,8-12, 7-13, 6-14, 5-15) A fourth level team is a team which has won less than 25% of its games played (Examples: 4-16, 3-17, 2-18, 1-19, 0-20) Rational: 1. The column labeled “PWR. Ranking (25%/75%)” is the one used to place teams in the 2018-2019 soccer playoff divisions. This is the schools two-year weighted average over that the two year period. 2. Based upon a two-year weighted power point total. The 2017 season was given a 25% weighted value and the 2018 season was given a 75% weighted value. 3. Strength of the regular season results and playoff performance results over the last two seasons. 4. Regular season contests and playoff opponents are weighted based upon the strength of the opponent and the division they were previously placed in. 5.
