Welcome to Our First Issue
SoCal TTC is taking a fresh approach to it’s newsletter and we’re
proud to deliver our first copy of the SoCal TTC Times to you
today.
SoCal TTC is pleased to be a family gym and we’re hard at work
refreshing and reimagining exactly what that means to our
customers and our community to best meet your needs. We know
that excellence in communication is just one of the many ways we
can better serve you in today’s fast paced and ever changing
world.
At the beginning of each term be sure to check your email’s in-box
for the latest on what’s happening with the athletes and coaches
in the gym. We’ll be bringing you important information you not
only need but want to know. Plus, we’re adding even more to the
new newsletter so you can get to know the personal side of the
gym’s coaches and staff, your fellow athletes and their families,
and the many ways you can participate in the gym community.
We hope you’re as excited about this fun new communique as we
are and we look forward to sharing some extra time with you.

Thank you so much for making
SoCal TTC a part of your athlete’s

want our athletes to remember
this for success in and out of the
gym for years to come.
It is with great joy and pleasure
to sere the Poway community
and always with a smile.

20 Lifesaving Tips for New All Star Cheer Parents
Originally published by FloCheer, we thought these
20 tips would be helpful to our new cheer friends!
1. PRACTICE IS MANDATORY! Be a team player
and make practice a priority.
2. JEWELRY & HAIRCUTS Don’t get your child’s
ears pierced during competition season or
slightly before as no jewelry is allowed. Also,
check with your child’s team before hacking off
their hair!
3. DO NOT PLAN ANYTHING ELSE ON
COMPETITION DAYS! Schedules are not usually
finalized until the week of the event so just
block off the entire day to be safe.
4. BEFRIEND A CHEER VETERAN It helps to have
someone to know the ropes that you can text
with questions.
5. “GROUP ME” BOARDS ARE HELPFUL If you have
a questions, others probably do, too.
6. FIND A GOOD CALENDAR AND USE IT!
Whatever form of calendar you prefer, find one
and keep up with it - it’ll save you!
7. STAY ON TOP OF EMAILS! Save them and write
down pertinent information, too.
8. DECLARE ONE SPOT IN YOUR HOUSE FOR
CHEER ITEMS! You do not want to be digging
for a bow the morning of a competition.
9. ABSOLUTELY NO EXTREME ACTIVITIES BEFORE
A COMPETITION! Don’t be the one to call the
coach the night before a comp because your
child broke their arm skateboarding.
10. IF YOUR CHILD IS COMPLAINING OF AN INJURY,
DO SOMETHING. Do not wait until 2 days
before a competition to find out something is
really wrong!
11. MAKE-UP & HAIR Practice before the first
competition - not the morning of.
12. PROMPTNESS Don’t be on time - be early

movement! That’s followed by our Music and Movement class for our friends who love to get
their groove on. Rhythm instruments, dancing, and songs from around the world take this
gymnastics class to a whole new level!
Finally, on Thursdays we offer our Challenge class full of obstacle courses, rope climbs, races, and
personal challenges designed for those children who want a bigger physical challenge in the gym.
