How to create a new sensation with your five senses!

Sight

It’s a scary thing, if you can’t see a thing. I don’t know how blind people could do it. It is scary not to see where you are headed and see where you step. I kept losing my

balance, because I could not see where I put my foot down.

Hearing

If you aren’t able to hear, you will really pay attention to everything you see. It’s like you have to be extra careful. I started looking around all the time. Looking forward and also looking behind me. Because I was scared something was going to come up from behind and hit me or something like that. I couldn’t hear anything!

Taste

If you are blindfolded, your taste is so much better. If you can’t see what you’re about to put in your mouth, the (smell and) taste are a thousand times stronger.

Touch

I do think it is weird to not see what you’re going to touch. You really try to visualize the texture that you feel under your fingertips. Blind people most have it really hard. Touching everything and identifying what it is, is very hard.

Smell

Smelling something is an experience on it self. But if you can’t see and can’t put it in your mouth, it is a different experience. Even through the smell, I sometimes thought I could taste the food the smell was coming from. It is weird if you think about it. Just by smelling something, you automatically think you can taste it, too. This is not always the case. But you can not change human nature.
