VISIONWe, the Loyola Film Circle, envision to establish a film culture that upholds the art and aesthetics of cinema and promotes the medium for social dis-

course and involvement.

MISSIONWe, the Loyola Film Circle, strive to ad-vocate in the Ateneo artistic excellence

and social discourse through film.

As such, we strive to improve our members’ interaction with film in its

three facets—appreciation, production, and critiquing—while providing them

with the opportunity to pursue and hone their particular competencies.

With these, we intend to produce mem-bers aimed at contributing to the local

film community, aiding in the formation of the nation, our culture and identity.

COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONSDOCUMENTATION & PUBLICATIONThe Documentation & Publication commit-tee, also known as Doc & Pub, can be pegged as either photographers and videographers na laging may bitbit na camera, or expressive and misunderstood writers who like to pon-der and mag-munimuni. But mostly they’re just awesome.

HUMAN RESOURCESThe Human Resources committee are like LFC “mommies,” they take care of all the members and make sure we’re one happy filmy family by organizing badass Leadership Training and Team Building Seminars, infor-mal bonding events, and being all-around caring and friendly.

PROMOTIONSThe Promotions Committee has a lot of en-ergy and a knack for getting LFC out there and in your face - serenades, cafeteria and secwalk raids, attention-catching gimmicks and PA system announcements, name it, they can and will do it. They’re like the popu-lar kids who know everybody and everybody knows.

SALES & MARKETINGIt’s a stereotype that artsy kids are incapa-ble of maths or handling anything resem-bling numbers - but the Sales & Marketing committe, or S&M, can definitely give you a run for your money. They’re responsible for generating funds for LFC through fundrais-ers and sponsorships so that we can get the organization and our projects out there.

CREATIVESThe Creatives Team uses unicorn sparkle power and imagination juice to create de-signs and layouts for LFC’s promotional needs - mainly posters, tarapulins, and other pretty and eye-catching things!

PRODUCTION COREAlso known as, “maangas,” the Production Core handles all production-related activi-ties: making videos for LFC and for the At-eneo, training members with filmmaking potential and passion, and overseeing LFC participation in film competition outside the university.

LIGHTS. CAMERA. ACTION! You think it’s that easy? Well, you haven’t seen a real film production yet. There’s a lot more to the bright lights and flashy equip-ment than what you see on screen. Get behind the camera and into the reality of filmmaking with the IsaPelikula film production classes. With sessions that take you step-by-step through prepro-duction, production, and post-produc-tion, you get a taste of what it’s like to be in the local film industry.

Each class will be dedicated to the dif-ferent key elements in filmmaking: sto-ryboarding, cinematography, production design, audio and visual editing, and many more. IsaPelikula speakers range from LFC’s very own production core members,

to LFC Alumni, to filmmakers from the local industry, each one handling a session that matches their specialty in film production. The students will even have the chance to converse with the speakers and get firsthand advice about filmmaking.

In order for the students to graduate, they will produce their very own short films, the best of which will be show-cased at future LFC events. IsaPelikula is a program exclusive for LFC members – it’s a rare opportunity to learn directly from the people in the local film scene.

Sign up for IsaPelikula 2012 if you want to learn from the best of the best from our local film industry!

Now on its 14th year, the Ateneo

Video Open (AVO) is an annual nationwide

film competition open to collegiate-level

filmmakers.

To be launched mid-October of this year,

the AVO will accept entries for films in

the following categories: short narrative,

music video, documentary, experimen-

tal, and indigenous language narrative.

Entries aim to highlight the effective use of

aesthetically pleasing films as media for so-

cial discourse.

AVO is a year-long project that includes open

screenings of the finalists’ films, and will be

capped off with a prestigious awards night.

We hope to find the best of the best in

student-made films, therefore as ear-

ly as now, volunteers are already need-

ed. Being a part of the AVO team entails

contacting and visiting various schools

to promote, looking for sponsorships,

promoting, scouting out venues and judges,

and handling the screenings and awards

night.

Page 15: Sneak Peek

Musicians serenade people walking along SecWalk. Roses and invitations are being given out. A public invitation is posted by Mr. Anonymous for that girl with the golden eyes – “Will you meet me Under The Stars?” It’s that time of year again; love is in the air!

Under the Stars is an outdoor film screening and variety show. Christmas lights adorn the place and mats are scat-tered across the field as groups of friends and couples sit to enjoy special perfor-mances of music and dance, a BossDibidi

Under the StarsRaffle, and a feature film. To name a few, the movies that have been screened in the past are “Little Manhattan”, “Moulin Rouge” and “Love Actually”. Hundreds of people look forward to this fun-filled, romantic night full of surprises. Through this free public event, LFC will be able to ignite an appreciation for film and the arts. The event will be held on February 8, but LFC volunteers will be much needed as early as now. Being a volunteer entails fundraising, looking for sponsorships, massively and creatively promoting UTS, and setting up the venue.

Page 16: Sneak Peek

Film Literacy Classes (FLC) are a series

of six sessions that focus on the film

criticism and appreciation aspects of

the org. Featuring experts in a variety of

fields, attendees are sure to learn a lot:

from the history of film to the elements

of screen arts, interspersed with inter-

esting topics relevant to the current film

community. Open not only to LFC mem-

bers but also to all Ateneans, it aims to

make the understanding and knowledge

of film accessible to everyone.

Page 17: Sneak Peek

Are you a film fanatic? Would you like to see

films created by your fellow Ateneans? Then

head on over to the Loyola Film Festival!

LFF is a new Loyola Film Circle project that

will showcase films made by past and present

Ateneans. Yup, students who were and are just

like you! We want to show to the world and the

LS community what we contribute to our film

industry by screening amazing works – short

films, full-length films, any kind of films! We

are that passionate about filmmaking.

This is a first for the Ateneo and I’d like to

personally invite you to help make it happen.

Being a volunteer means doing a lot of plan-

ning and logistics. If you have a vision or great

idea for this project, come and join the team!

EXECUTIVEBOARD

Page 19: Sneak Peek

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I joined because ever since high school, I’ve always liked films, but there weren’t a lot of people who shared the same interest. But then I found out about LFC and that the past president was my SecMob! I stayed be-cause of the people, my friends in the org, and the great feeling that what we’re doing is affecting people even in the smallest ways (projects, events) to help further appreciating film and seeing it is so gratifying. It makes you want to continue.

Describe your LFC crush?

A: Vague. She loves film the way that I do. Maganda, since crush ko siya :D

What makes you beautiful?

A: Ako lang ang may “Bon” sa panagalan, Bon means “good” in French. So “Good Will” hehe.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I am Lactose intolerant and I have a taste aversion for chocolate – “iba ang amoy ng chocolate.”

Name: Bon William D. Fernandez

Year/Course: 4 AB COM

How many years have you been in LFC?: Four years

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: After graduation, to travel, to take the time to immerse myself and enjoy, have a good time. I want to experience solemnity, like peaceful, nature. Kahit saan!

What’s your job in LFC?

A: President, a.k.a, Guy who’s always around

So what do you do?

A: I help the people the best way I can, I’m an extra person in everything, I also oversee events.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: Overwhelming. But I’m not pressured be-cause I’m surrounded with people that are equally invested in making all the plans pos-sible.

How many years have you been in LFC?: Four years!

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: Would be to go to different places, do ex-treme sports like bungee jumping or cliff diving. Or to be a secret agent for the gov-ernment of Russia (ayoko Philippines kasi boring).

What’s your job in LFC?

A: I’m the VP for Internals.

So what do you do?

A: A lot of technical stuff, but basically I sort of oversee the org in terms of (internally in-ternalizes) following the constitution and systems. Also, I am the point person when it comes to dealing with the offices and other organizations inside Ateneo.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: I think it’s very toxic for someone who doesn’t like the job – but in my case I really like it when people follow rules and I get to control them in some way. Basta I like my job, I really like it MUHAHAHAHA.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: At first, I wasn’t really planning to be part of LFC, but because of my friends, I became active in LFC events, like Bluescreen, and I found new friends inside the org. Even though my initial friends aren’t active today, it’s okay, I’ve got new ones anyway. Hindi ako emo ah.

So you’re friends with the whole EB?

A: No… BEST FRIENDS. Some of them were my really close friends na, way back second year. And I can really tell them anything, like my problems, my ideas, my suggestions, so yeah, the EB is sort of my bedroom inside my home. No pun intended.

Describe your LFC crush.

A: Um, everyone knows him, but he’s not ac-tive anymore. And I don’t want to think about him anymore huhuhu.

What makes you beautiful?

A: My genes (laughs) no, joke lang. My happy disposition – I always try to put a smile on my face every day.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I’m a gamer! I like to play tetris (laughs) Diablo 2, Counter Strike, TF 2, etc. I like to sing & make music videos, but no-one knows about it. I go to the gym three times a week, in expense to all the food I eat in LFC.

How many years have you been in LFC? 4, but I became active only starting 2nd yr.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: I’m not familiar with Adventure Time na car-toon haha, but right now my ideal adventure time is to go out of town/country by myself. (laughs) To meet random people and see ran-dom things!

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Vice President for External Affairs.

So what do you do?

A: I’m in charge of anything to do with matters outside LFC. This includes making external partnerships from the Philippine film industry

What are your plans for LFC to be “externally” visible then?

A: (laughs), I’ll start by tapping into LFC alumni because many of them are very involved in Fili-pino film. Then when it comes to the speakers for our different projects, I will make sure that they are well attended to. I will also increase the visibility of LFC by getting our members in-volved more outside Ateneo such as workshops, events and other film related stuff :))

What do you think of your job?

A: I think my job is important because it’s sort of part of the theme of LFC this year, which is to become more visible to the film community in

the Philippines. It’s a little intimidating but I’m ready to work hard for LFC

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: It started because I love films. I didn’t expect to be active, I thought to join lang to watch mov-ies with people who share the same interests. But - after a while it became more than just lov-ing movies. I really liked the people and the en-vironment of the org so that’s what really made me stay

Describe your LFC crush.

A: He’s nice! hmm wala eh =)). Sige ganito nal-ang: “he’s nice” done, (laughs)

Please expound/elaborate. How about some-one who inspires you?

A: Ok ok! The whole org inspires me eh, every single person in it :> The person in LFC who in-spires me is very passionate and is willing to go all out for his/her love of film. That describes pretty much everyone naman in LFC, I’m not thinking of anyone in particular :)) And it de-scribes how everyone in LFC should be din :> haha

What makes you beautiful?

A: (thinks deeply) Hmm I guess my personal-ity. Um, I guess... it’s how I’m not really the way I look. ‘Cause people say I look very snobbish (but my default face is straight face kasi) but I’m actually pretty friendly (laughs).

Fun facts about yourself?

A: Uhm...I love Matthew Perry (laughs)

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: Scour Divisoria and go to ukay’s in the Philippines, THRIFT SHOP! And ANTIQUING

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Vice President for Secretariat.

So what do you do?

A: I’m the link between the executive board and core, I keep all of LFC’s documents, and I’m in charge of information dissemination.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: “I think I’m gonna wear glasses after the sem” pink contacts maybe, because I’m al-ways on the computer!

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: When I was freshman, they gave me

Loyola Screen first year, first sem. I was shocked and happy they trusted it with me since it was a major project. It turned out okay and there was a nice talk with the audience and panelists, and there were performances after. I’m not that into film, but the passion for film is infectious. After the semester, I was supporting Filipino film – HARDCORE. I became ATTACHED to it. The responsibil-ity made me fall in love :> Someday, Filipino films will be as great as Hollywood films!

Describe your LFC crush.

A: She’s Chinese. She’s with me in the EB. I don’t crush on guys because it’s easier to define a pretty girl. I just like girls more be-cause I wanna dress them up. :>

What makes you beautiful?

A: My nose ‘cause it’s the only wrong thing on my face. It keeps people from liking me just because I look pleasant.

Fun facts about yourself?

A; I don’t wear pants. :D

How many years have you been in LFC? It’s gonna be my fourth year this year.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: I would be a barista in Paris. I love meeting new people, I love being immersed in a culture I’m not familiar with, and there’s no better place to have an adventure than in Paris.

What’s your job in LFC?

A: The VP for Finance

So what do you do?

A: I make sure we have money, that we can af-ford our projects, that when problems arise, we can sustain operations. Also I ensure our money is spent well, efficiently, and geared towards the lowest cost.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: For me, I’m very suited for the job, and the job suits me. I’m minoring in Finance right now, I know it’s not the same application, but it’s the dis-cipline. I’m very happy about it, next to the Presi-dent, it’s the position best suited for me (laughs).

So you like math?

A: I like accounting, I like finance. I’m really ex-cited about my job – the budgeting, checking if the numbers are balanced. I really love my job. I can contribute to the org, but not be as filmy and ar-tistic.

SO kung kailangan ng Accounting tutoring…?

A: Yeah of course, I offer Acc and Finance tutoring!

Nice. So what made you join/stay in LFC?

A: Honestly, for me I like the concept that so little can do so much. I’m aware of how film has been a catalyst for change. It contributes to something, I like that notion. I love the underdogs, the arts. I wanna work for them so they won’t be underdogs anymore.

Also, the people din. When I was in 1st year, I was a thoroughly SOM person, and I loved the diver-sity, even the people who don’t like me. It made me grounded, it made me aware of the world and its diversity; the experience of going through the challenges, it made me a better person. It made me adapt to different situations. That’s what LFC continues to teach me.

Describe your LFC crush.

A: I don’t have an LFC crush

Mm, maniwala.

A: She’s nice, she’s charming, not exactly the best looking, but very charming. Interesting, very open minded, game to do anything. It applies to every-one, baka ikaw (interviewer)! Also, hindi pikon.

What makes you beautiful?

A: I think it’s my (upon consulting other sources: “his asthma”, “no comment”, “bigyan mo ko ng 6k and I’ll tell you”). My willingness to break the ice with people. I’m not big with first impressions, good or bad, basta what counts is I make a con-nection. My willingness to know people, even if it affects badly on me.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I entered Ateneo M-H (naks!). I have size 13 feet. It’s impossible for my voice to be soft.

How many years have you been in LFC?: I joined LFC when I was a sophomore.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: Ideal Adventure Time? Not so Adventure Time-y and kind of realistic, but I’d really like to go around the Philippines after I graduate. Not by plane but by buses and boats and whatnot. I dunno, it’s always been part of my bucket list to see everything there is to see here before I go elsewhere.

A: Creative Director

So what do you do?

A: As Creative Director, I take care of the Creative Team. We’re in charge of designing promos for all our events, and we also help out other com-mittees with their design needs. Like Doc&Pub with Sneak Peak! Haha. Last year, as part of Cre-atives, I also got to help design graphics for the 2011 OFilm.

I also do quality control with our promos! What I like about the Creative Team is that we help each other to make our designs better. After a first draft is submitted, everyone comments on what changes have to be made to it. It’s a great learn-ing experience for the designers. I think it’s one of the reasons why (in my humble opinion) we’re one of the better Creative Teams in the school.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: To be honest, I really feel the pressure! All the previous Creative Directors of LFC are so talented and they’re really getting their name out there in the design world. I look up to them a lot, even the ones I’ve never actually met. I really need to step my game up this year so I can be proud that I’m part of that lineup.

Is there any single previous Creative director that serves as a main source of inspiration for you?

A: Hmm, probably Kasey Albano! She was the Cre-ative Director when I first joined LFC. In fact, she was the main reason why I wanted to join the org in the first place—I wanted to work with her.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: What made me stay was definitely the people! When I joined back in second year, MVP308 quickly became my favorite place to hang out. Not only did I learn to be a better designer and learn to appre-ciate film much more than I ever did, but it was really in LFC where I first found a “home” in At-eneo.

What makes you beautiful?

A: I light up your world like nobody else.  (Side note: I really love One Direction. As in.)

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I used to be able to recite the movie School of Rock by heart. I think I still can.

How many years have you been in LFC?: 3 years!

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: To meet paranormal entities without dying – y’know, in case some of them are hazard-ous. Have you heard of the SCP project?

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Documentations and Publications Execu-tive.

So what do you do?

A: Basically I boss my deputies around (I’m kidding, I love them!). I oversee photo and video documentation of events and their pub-lication in the LFC newsletter. We write a lot of stuff – including the new member orien-tation publication, Sneak Peek! I’m also in charge of the YES report, a summarization of how well LFC performed during the year. I also proxy for the Secretary-General in the event of her absence. :D

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: It’s tedious but FULFILLING. I get to meet new people and make new friends – which is awesome.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I joined because films are cool (laughs). I’m not much of a film geek but I thought that if I joined LFC I could become one of the “cool kids” that knew a lot about film – yeah I think they’re cool. I stayed because the people are so engaging and passionate about film.

Describe your LFC crush.

A: (laughs and thinks deeply) She was in Ja-pan last summer, and she was my date in Un-der the Stars for 2 years straight.

What makes you beautiful?

A: My deep manly voice (laughs). I always get mistaken for a guy on the phone!

Fun facts about yourself?

A: The most exciting part of my summer was getting an allergy that made me look like Megamind! Also, I used to be in Manage-ment-Honors.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: When I get very lost. Don’t know what to do

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Human Resources Executive.

So what do you do?

A: I handle the activities in relation to mem-ber empowerment and development.

What do you think of your job? How do you feel about your job?

A: It’s stressful. I think it’s the most stressful job because you deal with people and make

and collect people. Also you need to know EVERYONE.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I LOVE Films. And the people I met in my committee (cliquish. Haha) and everyone in LFC na rin.

Describe your LFC crush?

A: Gwapo. Mas matangkad sa akin syempre. Speaks good English.

What makes you beautiful?

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: I would crawl inside a Ghibli film. Prefer-ably inside Spirited Away!

What’s your job in LFC?

A: I am the Production Core Head.

So what do you do?

A: I try to make sure that LFC gets immor-talized through video. Apart from that, I like having Bacon Parties.

What do you think of your job?

A: It’s hard.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: The people are THE BEST. Also, where else could I go full nerd about films and TV shows, and not get shunned for being a dork?

Describe your LFC crush.

A: Oh god, he has a really nice voice.

What makes you beautiful?

A: You mean the way I flip my hair and stare at the ground? You guys should see it. Ask me to do it, I’ll probably give you a demonstration.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I can lick my elbows, and you can buy my affection with sushi (especially ones with salmon).

I am also a cat lady and watching cats walk on rooftops make me feel so emotional.

Lastly, I am allergic to Patis.

How many years have you been in LFC?: This is my 3rd year in LFC.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: To be in a house being carried by balloons like in Up would be the ULTIMATE adventure. 8D Im-agine being able to go all over the world literally in the comfort of your own home. Getting sushi in Japan or seeing kangaroos in Australia would be a balloon ride away hihi. Or riding a flying cat. That would be cool too.

Have you seen My Neighbor Totoro?

A: HEHE YUNG CATBUS.

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Getting people to parade around Ateneo for LFC events – in other words, Promotions Committee Executive.

So what do you do?

A: As a committee, promotion means what it is – to promote the various projects of LFC! The projects LFC has lined up this year are really exciting and it’s our job to share those with you guys.

From posters, online spiels, caf raids, sec walk raids, room-to-room, PA system, tapping popular websites – we find ways to get LFC projects out there, so what we do is to be strategic and creative thinkers!

As the PR Executive, I’ll be guiding you guys in this experience.

What do you think of your job?

A: Handling PR will definitely be tiring but it’s heart-warming work.

“Kilig” is the feeling when the promotion teams for projects start conceptualizing what kind of promo-tions to be done, and even more nakakakilig when you see those plans come to reality-- and seeing the outcome of their hardwork~

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: At first, I wanted to join LFC ‘cause I liked talk-ing to people about movies and pointing out what made them great or not. Then I found out about the PR committee and after volunteering for pro-jects, attending film-related classes, getting to know the LFC people – I knew I wanted to stay. I knew I wanted to stay kahit stress ahay. Dadami pang awesomeness yan (referring to new recruits during RecWeek).

Describe your LFC crush.

A: Tall, dark, and handsome – kaso ‘di ata nagaap-ply yung first sa kanya eh HEHE kidding. Tsaka minsan, yung third. Haha juk lang.

What makes you beautiful?

A: Oh mai. My oddity? Homaii (laughs). Or my curves – my concave curves.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I once drank 2 tablespoons of Robitussin by ac-cident. Ask me about it – and I will explain to you how trippy (and unadvisable) it is. My older brother is 10 years older than me. When I get a cat, I want to name it Macaroni

A: For me, it’s really fulfilling, especially

when you get to seal deals.

A: Well, I genuinely love watching films. I’d watch films for a living – if I could.

Describe your LFC crush?

How many years have you been in LFC?: 3 years.

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: Backpacking with a bunch of friends. It’d be fun to go couchsurfing to meet new people and get into their shoes! Then we’d sponta-neously find our way to the next country, but get lost at sea while we’re at it so we’d swim in the open waters at night and meet some mermaids and then end up in another dimen-sion. That would be so cool.

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Under The Stars Project Head.

So what do you do?

A: Make plans for Under The Stars with the core team, oversee the logistics, promo-tions, programs, and marketing of the event to make sure everyone enjoys and it runs smoothly.

What do you think of your job?

A: It may be a lot of work, but just thinking about the project itself gets me really excit-ed. Imagine heading an event that has been memorable for hundreds of people the past few years. It’s a lot of pressure (especially with the unpredictable weather), but I’m very eager for it!

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I saw the Twilight OFilm they made on You-tube when I was in fourth year high school and thought of joining ‘cause I’ve been inter-ested in watching and learning how to make films. During first year college, I would rarely make it to the LFC projects, but would brave myself and join their inumans. Thought it would be scary at first, but the people are so fun and sabaw!

What makes you beautiful?

A: I’m game for practically anything!

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I love ketchup, even with sinigang. I would have my own bottle of ketchup every Form/EvSem.

What do you think of your job?

A: Heavy. But I think it’s a privilege to be heading AVO because it’s a really COOL pro-ject. It’s really big!

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I love film. I love the people and everything LFC stands for.

How many years have you been in LFC? 1, on going

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: Um basically, my ideal adventure would com-prise of going on a food trip around the world with my best friends just trying all the dif-ferent food and immersing ourselves in the different cultures that would just be amazing, yun nga lang, sana we have enough money, and hindi kami tataba!

Any kind of food in mind?

EVERYTHING =))

What’s your job in LFC?

A: IsaPelikula Project Head

So what do you do?

A: As the Isape head, I create the class syllabus for the Isape students, basically any LFC mem-ber who wants to learn more about filmmaking and production. I invite speakers whose forte is in line with what I believe the students need to learn in class in order to complete their gradu-ation films

What do you think of your job?

A: I was pretty surprised actually when Patis, the ProdCore head asked me about it one night. I didn’t expect to be given that responsibility. It’s

a rather big responsibility since Isape is Prod-Core’s main project and it’s also one of LFC’s flagship projects.

Last year, I was just a first time-Isape student, learning new things and being amazed by all the cool film stuff; now I’m the project head!

I’m sure the experience will be amazing and would help in getting to know more people in the industry.

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: I love film. It’s as simple as that. I enjoy watching films, and I love making them. There’s that certain excitement, like an adrenaline rush, that I get once I have an idea and I just can’t wait to try it out myself. Then, when it’s done, there’s that sense of achievement and purpose that fills me when I see what I’ve worked hard on.

Describe your LFC crush.

A: My LFC “crush” will apply pa lang for LFC this 1st sem :))

What makes you beautiful?

A: I light up your world like nobody else. The way that I flip my hair gets you overwhelmed. When I smile at the ground, it ain’t hard to tell that I don’t know I’m beautiful.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: I love musicals and Broadway :)) I’ve been slimed at Nickelodeon studios \m/ and I have a thing for cheesy romantic comedies

If you could go anywhere/do anything, what would be your ideal adventure time?

A: I always wanted to go backpacking around the Philippines, plus discovering Metro Ma-nila. I grew up here and ngayon ko lang nal-alaman yung magagandang places. Like the restaurant ‘Van Gogh is Bipolar’. It’s not an ideal place but it’s an ideal adventure.

What’s your job in LFC?

A: Head ako ng Loyola Film Festival, and member ng Doc and Pub committee. The Loyola Film Festival is an event that will last for about a week or two that will show the university, and possibly other universities, what the alumni and the present student filmmakers of the Ateneo have contributed to the film industry of the Philippines.

What do you think of your responsibility?

A: PRESSURE. Pressure pressure pressure

(laughs). But I really think it’s going to be fun. The executive board wants this to be a big event and I’m willing to do it – it’s just a bit scary. (laughs) I’m excited!

Nice! Do you have any ideas for it that you’re willing to disclose?

A: Erm... the plans are not yet final but we’re planning to make the culminating night really *BONGGA*

What made you join/stay in LFC?

A: The activities and the people. (laughs) I love staying in the org room and talking to random people. Or just sitting there… (laughs). We can talk about movies nonstop, watch mov-ies nonstop too. I love Under the Stars and I love film.

Fun facts about yourself?

A: My 13th birthday fell on the 6/6/6th.I love to sketch and make fashion illustrations. Naka-inom na ko ng gold flakes! I am a self-proclaimed polymathic  (a person who is knowledgeable on many subjects but is a master of none). I have a Chi-shih szu/tiny shih tzu – it’s never gonna grow any bigger.
