Children’s Ministries

Child Dedication If you have a new child in your family and would like to dedicate them and yourselves to their spiritual development, please contact Bethany Gerber at 952.223.1833 for the dedication class on May 10. We will dedicate these children on Mother’s Day, May 13. Children’s Ministries Appreciation Banquet This banquet and talent show is being held to honor our Children’s Ministries servants on Sunday, May 20 at 5:30pm in Room 114. All those who help nurture and teach children in our Sunday and Wednesday programs are invited. Childcare will be provided. Please RSVP Bethany, Becky, Kim, or Jane.

Student Ministries

30 Hour Famine – May 5-6 Moving our focus from our stomachs to our souls, this weekend is designed to raise our awareness of those in need and how God is calling us to respond. Both Junior and Senior Highers may participate in this Epic event. Permission slips found HERE.

Adult Ministries

Employment Coaching Class Come Monday, May 14 from 6:30pm-8:30pm for “Constructing Your Life's Work: An adventure in self-reflection and career exploration.” For information or to register, contact Cindy Edwards at 612.325.1216 or cindy@tofindyourfit.com

Men’s Ministries

Women’s Ministries

Kids Closet is May 12! People from the community and Berean are invited to shop an assortment of gently-used kids’ clothes, toys, videos, books, and baby equipment. Everything is given free of charge and shoppers are encouraged to take as much as they can use. Donations of items are welcome and can be dropped off in the nursery. Global Outreach

Missions Fest 2012 is almost here! Join us May 4-6 as we celebrate the work of God across the globe through our missionary partners. Friday, May 4, view the film”58:” highlighting the struggles of the world’s poorest. Saturday there will be a Missionary Partner’s brunch to honor and celebrate our missionaries! Then Sunday, join us during regular worship services and Sunday school classes as we hear from missionaries and learn about holistic missions at Berean. Care & Support

Are you interested in becoming a Stephen Minister? Stephen Ministers are trained volunteers who come along side a person who is having a difficult time in their life do to circumstances including grief, job loss, relationship issues, etc. If you are a good listener who can encourage and lift up those who are hurting, we need you! For questions or to apply, contact Kari Peterson at 952.223.1848. Do you need someone to talk to? If life has you down, we can help. We have trained Stephen Ministers available to meet with you and offer encouragement, support and prayer. Our Stephen Ministers are always confidential, non-judgmental, and same gender. They are strong Christian friends who can objectively and effectively listen and care for you through your difficult life situation. Memory Loss Forum Presenter Dr. Abigail P. Holley, M.D. will share information relating to forgetfulness, memory loss, dementia, and more on Sunday, May 20 at 6pm in Room 214. Dr. Holley is a Senior Care Specialist for Hennepin County Medical Center. Giving Update
