The redevelopment of Nine Elms and the addition 19,000 new homes and tube stations as well as the US Embassy and the rumoured Chinese and Dutch embassies have also helped to shine a light on the area. Battersea also has some of the prettiest houses and flats available in London and many people enjoy the generous spaces afforded for the price of the properties which is still very reasonable when compared to those just over the bridge in Chelsea. There is 'The Street Kitchen' - ex Michelin star chefs offering great food out of a hatch, a 'Rocky' style boxing gym behind a garage door and 'Dodd's Gin', housed in a former dairy and supplying Fortnum and Mason. Local workers are an eclectic mix too - architects, students, Vivienne Westwood's studio and Knight Frank of course! That the success of any rental always involves the alignment of price, presentation and marketing. Monitor these three things at all times. Also, look on portals as though you were searching yourself. If your flat is not a contender then it needs to be in order to achieve a successful result. With property values rising rapidly this might mean that your yields will not be impressive which impacts lettings and sales.
