Hi Evan, There was a dialog with your colleagues from Snap and I got the information that you had collected propositions from your team regarding development of services and products. Cool practice, man! I am not a part of your team for the moment but there was some brainstorming which results I would like to share with you. Development of the product is possible in two directions – in context of two consumer groups: customers and advertisers/producers. The last one needs just a perfect tool to optimize their expenses in a way to maximize ROI. You’ve done a significant step towards ad operators this year with the launch of Snap Audience Match, Snapchat Lifestyle Categories and Lookalikes. But to keep experimenting with ad partners more important to keep the audience – our biggest treasure. To keep and increase! Thus main focus is “the audience”. Please find the proposition to make product more competitive (to provide FB with more hints) and to get additional revenue sources for Snapchat: 1. snap finance: to make it possible to fulfill finance operations (see below) inside the app according to our policy, to our Customers’ wants and needs within user-friendly interface (of course keeping all KYC, AML and CTF policies), to our mechanics, option for adding money into snaps: just draw “S” letter as soon as you made a photo/video and just put a sum in pop-up window – the easiest way to send money in the world!; letter/sign commands can be used for any other part of the product; (U R generous gift maker – with Snapchat your gifts are instant!) to provide Customer with an opportunity to communicate through making gifts to friends with an internal snap goods (e.g. unique lens or any other virtual stuff) or (U R nimble dream catcher – with Snapchat your dreams come true!) sending a few bucks to a pal to help him make his dream come true: e.g. a friend makes a snap with a cool skate he loves to buy and ask friends to help him to collect the sum and buy an item, (U R talented handyman – with Snapchat you make business of you hobby!) to use the platform to buy/sell handmade and used goods; buysellkl – Snapchat’s sub-platform to buy and sell handmade and used goods on its first stage (Etsy analog with ebay elements), all other stuff according to Snapchat’s key metrics (age, sex, preferences etc) during further stages; buysellkl logo looks like barcode in the upper part of the word itself; stepping into Snapchat platform financial segment there should be microfinance stage the first which needs appropriate mechanism to settle low volume transactions; one of solutions is either blockchain based tech itself (to operate within one bank account keeping transactions in our own blockchain as a ledger; e.g. Revolut does the same having Barclays as a partner bank) or Bitcoin in particular; mechanics can be developed (a) by our own means, which is preferable as soon as we keep all data and tools inside platform, or (b) by means of a partner, who has appropriate structure: ** Coinbase, which is a market leader all over US which is important as you have US market as a key one, ** Mycelium, which is an active and high professional player, or ** Coinkite team, which had the best and the richest tool kit for transaction support but decided to leave the market… and the tech can be bought, can’t it?

for the moment but there was some brainstorming which results I would like to share with you.

Development of the product is possible in two directions – in context of two consumer groups: customers and

You’ve done a significant step towards ad operators this year with the launch of Snap Audience Match, Snapchat

Please look at Circle company also – pretty successful financial services company which is moving from opposite

side: they’ve positioned themselves as social payment app and developed finical service with socializing and

personalizing features (adding pictures, emoji etc). It is inside of iMessage already.

debit Snapcard could become next step within Sanapchat product financial wing development. It will

enrich our data pool crucially with a factor of our Customers’ purchasing power – ad sharks will love it

definitely. Let’s fish!

money basis but bot only likes/points;

2. incentive program – direct revenue sharing according to the quality and quantity of the content person

produces, number of views and likes: e.g. Customer X provided us with the content which has 1000 views => 40-

60 USD => x% will be paid to the customer directly (please find Decent as a similar business model);

3. Music is the second thing we use our smartphones for. Thus it is a great opportunity for the platform to

entertain its Customers and get additional revenue from music market:

Customers can visualize their emotions now but want more for sure – let them soundalize! It’s great to

put a well cut fragment of the song (brand new or one with a beard), which is included into the library

and paid by a producer to be there in the list or paid by a Customer to get additional tool to make his

snaps more full of emotions! Or (you will love it)… get paid from both sides! Snap includes the link to

buy/download a whole version of the song or album as whole;

“Snapchat karaoke hall” – great portion of fun and self-expression for our Customers! There should be (a)

lenses (paid or free, sponsored) and (b) top-singers chart; America’s got talent – how do like the channel

to spread new Snapchat feature by collecting participants applications in Snap-format? Promo activity of

labels will enhance our revenue too;

4. Live streaming is a niche to be enhanced and to gain a foothold in. Snapchat service includes three parties: (a)

platform, (b) operator/Customer1, (c) viewer/Customer2. Stream is combined of all streaming sources which are

reachable in a certain moment in a certain event. It is valuable to be in a right place in a right time, isn’ t it? All

sources to be combined into one panel where Customer2 can switch in 3D mode – left-right-up-down – surfing

aggregated signal live to choose the best point of view in terms of location, signal stability and its quality.

Platform and Customer1 get payment for translation from Customer2;

5. QR code placement as a must be part of the agreement between Snapchat and ad service users (agencies,

manufacturers) on:

marketing materials (OOH, print, POSM),

product package (Nestle bunny mask will look great on millions of children faces),

different printed stuff like maps and guides for travelers (geofilters), books (e.g. Poter and Voldemort

masks), informational leaflets (e.g. fireman or policeman mask for children)…

6. Chatroulette – 7 years old model but it works still because it’s really fun!

7. Diary (target group – girls) – possibility to post messages on a regular daily/weekly basis creating lifeline of the

Customer within his closed and strictly permissioned area with no access from service provider side

(cryptographic key is needed); a little bit out of vanish-concept, but will create additional channel youngsters will

come back to the app soon AND (as soon as there gonna be a need in storage to save all this messages) additional

revenue stream to rent storage (regular or extra space);

8. drones are in trend now (with a huge audience) – airSnaps gonna be in trend too!
