2 GENERAL POWER TOOLSAFETY WARNINGS

WARNINGRead all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure tofollow the warnings and instructions may result inelectric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to yourmains-operated (corded) power tool.

2.1 TRAINING• This power tool can be used

by children aged from 8years and above andpersons with reducedphysical, sensory or mentalcapabilities or lack ofexperience and knowledgeif they have been givensupervision or instructionsconcerning use of thepower tool in a safe wayand understand the hazardsinvolved. Children shall notplay with the power tool.Cleaning and usermaintenance shall not bemade by children withoutsupervision.

• Read the operating andservice instruction manualcarefully. Be thoroughlyfamiliar with the controlsand the proper use of thepower tool. Know how tostop the unit and disengagethe controls quickly.

• Never allow children tooperate the power tool.Never allow adults tooperate the power toolwithout proper instruction.

• Wear rubber boots whenoperating the snow thrower.

• Operation of the snowthrower in the hand-heldposition is unsafe, except inaccordance with the specialinstructions for such useprovided in the operator’smanual.

• Avoid Accidental Starting–Don’t carry battery pack insnow thrower with finger onswitch. Be sure switch is offwhen insert battery pack.

2.2 PREPARATION• Thoroughly inspect the area

where the power tool is tobe used and remove alldoormats, sleds, boards,wires, and other foreignobjects.

• Do not operate the powertool without wearingadequate winter garments.Wear footwear, which willimprove footing on slipperysurfaces.

• Adjust the collector housingheight to clear gravel orcrushed rock surface.

• Never attempt to make anyadjustments while themachine is running (exceptwhere specificallyrecommended bymanufacturer).

• Always wear safety glassesor eye shields duringoperation or whileperforming an adjustment orrepair to protect eyes fromforeign objects that may bethrown from the machine.

• Prevent unintentionalstarting. Ensure the switch

is in the off-position beforeconnecting to battery pack,picking up or carrying theappliance. Carrying theappliance with your finge onthe switch or energizingappliance that have theswitch on invites accidents.

• Disconnect the battery packfrom the appliance beforemaking any adjustments,changing accessories, orstoring appliance. Suchpreventive safety measuresreduce the risk of startingthe appliance accidentally.

• When battery pack is not inuse,keep it away from othermetal objects,like paperclips,coins,keys,nails,screws or other small metalobjects,that can make aconnection from oneterminal to another.Shortingthe battery terminalstogether may cause burnsor a fire

2.3 OPERATION• Do not put hands or feet

near or under rotating parts.

Keep clear of the dischargeopening at all times.

• Exercise extreme cautionwhen operating on orcrossing gravel drives,walks, or roads. Stay alertfor hidden hazards or traffic.

• After striking a foreignobject, turn the machine offand remove the batterypack, and then inspect it fordamage. Repair anydamage before restartingand using the machine.

• If the power tool shouldstart to vibrate abnormally,stop the machine and checkimmediately for the cause.Vibration is generally awarning of trouble.

• Stop the machine wheneveryou leave the operatingposition, before uncloggingthe collector/impellerhousing or discharge guide,and when making anyrepairs, adjustments, orinspections.

• When cleaning, repairing, orinspecting, make certain thecollector/impeller and allmoving parts have stopped.

• Don’t Force Snow Mover –It will perform better andsafer at the rate for which itwas designed.

• Never operate the powertool at high transportspeeds on slipperysurfaces. Use care whenreversing.

• Never direct discharge atbystanders or allow anyonein front of the power tool.

• Disengage power to thecollector/impeller when thepower tool is transported ornot in use.

• Use only attachments andaccessories approved bythe manufacturer of thesnow thrower (such aswheel weights,counterweights, or cabs).

• Never operate the powertool without good visibility orlight. Always be sure of yourfooting, and keep a firmhold on the handles.

• Walk, never run.• Never touch a hot engine or

muffler.• Clearing a Clogged

Discharge Chute.• Hand contact with the

rotating impeller inside thedischarge chute is the mostcommon cause of injuryassociated with snowthrowers. Never use yourhand to clean out thedischarge chute. To clearthe chute:

2.Wait 10 seconds to besure the impeller bladeshave stopped rotating.

3.Always use a clean-outtool, not your hands.

• If the snow thrower strikes aforeign object follow thesesteps:

1.Stop snow thrower.Release the switch.

2.Remove the battery pack.3.Inspect for damage.4.Repair any damage

before restarting andoperating the snowthrower.

2.4 MAINTENANCE• Check shear bolts; engine-

mounted bolt, etc., atfrequent intervals for propertightness to be sure thepower tool is in safeworking condition.

• Always refer to owner’sguide instructions forimportant details if thepower tool is to be storedfor an extended period.

snow movers should bestored indoors in dry,locked-up place – out ofreach of children.

6 INSTALLATION

WARNINGDo not change or make accessories that are notrecommended by the manufacturer.

WARNINGDo not connect to power supply until you assemble allthe parts.

6.1 UNPACK THE MACHINE

WARNINGMake sure that you correctly assemble the machinebefore use.

WARNING• If the parts have damage, do not use the machine.• If you do not have all the parts, do not operate the

machine.• If the parts are damaged or missing, speak to the

service center.

1. Open the package.2. Read the documentation in the box.3. Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.4. Remove the machine from the box.5. Discard the box and package in compliance with

local regulations.

6.2 INSTALL THE BATTERY PACK

WARNING• If the battery pack or charger is damaged, replace

the battery pack or the charger.• Stop the machine and wait until the engine stops

before you install or remove the battery pack.• Read, know, and do the instructions in the battery

and charger manual.

1. Open the battery door(1).2. Align the ribs on the battery pack(2) with the

grooves in the battery compartment.3. Push the battery pack(2) into the battery

compartment until the battery pack(2) locks intoplace.

4. When you hear a click, the battery pack(2) isinstalled.

5. Close the battery door(1).

6.3 REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK

1. Open the battery door(1).

6.4 INSTALL THE UPPER HANDLE

1. Align the holes in the middle handle and the upperhandle.

2. Insert the bolt(1) through the middle handle andupper handle.

3. Tighten the handle knob(2) onto the bolt(1).4. Repeat for left/right side.

6.5 INSTALL THE MIDDLE HANDLE

2. Put the bolts(1) through the middle handle and thelower handle.

3. Tighten the handle knob(2) onto the bolt(1).4. Repeat for left/right side.

1. Align the tabs(2) on to the slots(3) on one side first.2. Once you have engaged one tab on one slot push

until you hear a click. Repeat on other side.3. Push the chute deflector(1).4. Make sure that the tabs(2) engage the slots(3) on

the two sides.5. Make sure that the posts(4) engage the holes(5) on

the two sides.

6.7 INSTALL THE CHUTE CONTROLROD

1. Align the holes(1) in the upper chute control rod(2)and lower chute control rod(3).

2. Put the hitch pin(4) through the holes(1).3. Align the arrows in the discharge chute and snow

thrower deck. Make sure the discharge chute facesforward.

4. Put the end of the chute control rod(5) straightthrough the hole(6) in the bracket. Keep the griphandle down.

5. Push the chute control rod(5) into the hole(7) behindthe deck.

6. Turn the grip handle left and right to make sure thatthe discharge chute moves in the same direction.

7 OPERATION

WARNINGWear eye protection during operation.

7.1 COLD WEATHER OPERATIONThe safe battery operation temperature ranges from-17°C to 45°C.

WARNINGDo not store or charge battery outside.

Battery must be charged and stored indoors prior to useof the machine.

If the machine does not start below -17°C,

• remove the battery pack from the machine,• charge the battery pack for 10 minutes in warm

area, or when the changing light turns green.• Install the battery pack again.

7.2 START THE MACHINE

1. While holding the safety switch button, pull the baillever (2) to start the machine.

NOTELower the scraper to the ground to remove the snow.

WARNINGKeep bystanders a safe distance from the machine.

WARNINGExamine the work area. Remove all stones, sticks,wire, bones, and other debris that can ricochetbecause of the rotating impeller.

7.3 STOP THE MACHINE

1. Release the bail lever(2) to stop the machine.

WARNINGWait until the impeller fully stops before you start themachine again. Do not quickly turn the machine offand on.

WARNINGPull the plug after you complete the work.

7.4 ADJUST THE DISCHARGE CHUTE

You can adjust the discharge chute 180° to change thesnow direction.

1. Turn the grip handle left to move the dischargechute to the left.

2. Turn the grip handle right to move the dischargechute to the right.

7.5 ADJUST THE CHUTE DEFLECTOR

You can adjust the chute deflector up and down tochange the throwing distance of the snow.

WARNINGRelease the bail switch before you adjust the chutedeflector.

WARNINGDo not push the trigger so far forward that a gapshows between the deflector and the chute.

1. Push and hold the trigger on the chute deflector.2. Move the chute deflector(25) up to increase the

snow distance.3. Move the chute deflector(25) down to decrease the

snow distance.

7.6 LED HEADLIGHTS

Turning the headlights on：1. Push and hold the safety switch button(1).2. Pull the bail switch(2) in the direction of the handle

bar to turn the headlights on.Turning the headlights off：3. Release the bail switch(2).

7.7 OPERATION TIPS• If it is possible, clear the snow in the direction of the

wind.

• In strong winds, lower the chute delfector to directthe snow to the ground.

• When you complete the work, let the machineopreate for a while to prevent ice formation in thedischarge chute.

• If the snow is deeper than 20 cm, decrease thespeed and let the machine work at its own rhythm.

• Do not use the scraper to remove compact snowand ice.

8 MAINTENANCE

WARNINGDisconnect the extension cord before maintenance.

CAUTIONUse only approved replacement parts.

CAUTIONDo not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-basedmaterials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can causedamage to the plastic, and make the plasticunserviceable.

CAUTIONDo not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastichousing or components.

8.1 GENERAL MAINTENANCE• Before each use, examine the machine for

damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws,nuts, bolts and caps.

• Tighten correctly all the fasteners and caps.• Clean the remaining snow on the machine with a

brush.

8.2 REPLACE THE SCRAPER

WARNINGWear heavy gloves or wind cloth around the bladewhen you touch the blade.

1. Remove the screws(1) from each side plate.2. Remove and discard the old scraper.3. Install the new scraper.4. Put in the mounting screw(2) and spacers and

tighten them.

8.3 REPLACE THE IMPELLER

1. Remove the screws(1) and side wear pad(2) of leftand right side covers.

2. Remove the nut(3).3. Remove the belt(4).4. Remove the the large pulley(5) with a socket wrench

(23 mm).

5. Pull the axle(6) and remove the old impeller.6. Install the new impeller.7. Reinstall the components.

8.4 STORE THE MACHINE• Clean the machine before storage.• Make sure the engine is not hot when you store the

machine.• Make sure that the machine does not have loose or

damaged parts. If it is necessary, do these steps/instructions:

• Replace the damaged parts.• Tighten the bolts.• Speak to a person of an approved service

center.• Store the machine in a dry area.• Make sure that children cannot come near the

machine.
