SmS tenzotherm Rus – is a Russian-Germany company that conducts research and development of products based on a semiconductor material – samarium sulphide.
In 2013 got into 20 most promising start-up companies in Russia under the version of Skolkovo (Russian analogue of Silicon Valley)
History of the project
1964 – Department of rare-earth semiconductors in Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute(St. Petersburg, Russia) started the research on samarium sulphide material
2000 – Discovered the thermovoltaic effect
2012 – Attracted venture investments
2012 – Got a status of the project participant in Skolkovo Fund
2013 – Obtained a grant of Skolkovo Fund
2013 – Manufacturing line was launched in Dortmund, Germany
