The library’s grounds and Quincy Park also host a few of the famous cherry trees. Welburn Square Welburn Square is one of our favorite places in Ballston to view ornamental cherries because of its beautiful design. Welburn Square is within walking distance of Quincy Park. Arlington National Cemetery The cemetery is a nationally known and respected spot for visitors. Take time to admire the majestic view of cherry blossoms throughout the grounds. Gravelly Point This is a popular picnicking, sports, and plane-watching spot along the Mount Vernon Trail. Gravelly Point also has views of the cherry trees across the river. Navy Merchant Marine Memorial This memorial on the Mount Vernon Trail is a good place to stop to look at many of the original cherry trees across the river. The Mount Vernon Trail is easily accessible by bike.
