GlideFIT is a high-intensity/low impact pad-dleboard class using Aquatic Based Stabil-ity Training (ABST). The class is designed to help improve body movement awareness, coordination and reflex responses, joint stability, reaction time, overall strength, power and agility. ABST classes are a fun and challenging way to get a good workout that is gentle on the body but also high intensity.

Level 3- Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages. For the swimmer that has mastered front & back float unassisted for at least 10 sec-onds; front and back glide unassisted for at least 5 feet; can show forward progress by swimming on front with face in the water, then rolling to a back float to rest for no more than 5 seconds, then rolling over to return to front to swim with face in the water all unassisted; tread water in the deep end for 30 seconds. Level 4- Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke. NEW REQUIREMENT: Adult will accompany the swimmer at Levels 1 & 2 in the water. Adult may be asked to accompany the level 3 swimmers in the water, based on their current ability.

Youth-Level 1 Beginner Level

This level is for the beginning school age swimmer. Water Acclimation: Increases comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance.

Youth-Level 2 Beginner Level

Water Movement: Encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills per-formed independently. Stroke Development: Introduces breaststroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke. For the swimmer that has mastered swimming at least 15 yards (45 feet) front crawl with rotary breathing and 15 yards (45 feet) Back Crawl with good form, breaststroke kick and butterfly kick for 15 yards (45 feet).

Youth-Level 6 Advanced

Stroke Mechanics: Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle. TODDLER/PRESCHOOL LESSONS Patton Center

Rollers - Level 1 Beginner Max 8 – Ages 5 in Kindergarten and up Beginner level gymnastics on all equipment. Form and fundamentals are strongly reinforced. Gymnasts will learn basic skills on all events with drills and stations to teach body shape and awareness.

Swingers – Level 2 Intermediate Max 8 – Ages 5 in Kindergarten and up Advanced beginner/Intermediate skills for the gymnast who has mastered Rollers. Strong emphasis on technique and form. New skills are introduced on each event.

Flippers – Level 3 Advanced Max 8 – Ages 5 in Kindergarten and up Builds on Swingers level with a strong focus on tumbling and events. Must have completed and mastered Swingers level to register.

Beginner Tumbling Max 8 – Ages 5 in Kindergarten and up Class that focuses on tumbling only. Perfect class for those looking to learn/improve their tumbling skills for cheer, competitive dance, etc. Beginner level works up to mastering a back handspring with very little to no assistance.

CHILDWATCH Our Child Watch program offers an opportunity for infants and children to grow, learn, and explore while meeting the need of their parents and family members who participate in Y programs and activities. We all know it, social distancing is hard when it comes to kids. Because of this, the YMCA is taking every precaution necessary to stay safe. This area is a no shoe zone. Please have socks available. Please do not bring food or extra toys. The parent/guardian of the child must remain on the premises while utilizing Child Watch.

Daily job responsibilities are added as a tool in your child’s learning process. Kids will explore new ways to enhance their learning process through music, crafts, and gym time. SPECIAL PROGRAM INFORMATION Can I transfer to a different class day? A $2 transfer fee will be charged to your account and must be paid on your next visit or by credit card over the phone. No transfers are permitted after second class.

How do I withdraw from a program? You may withdraw from a program or class before the first week. A computerized voucher will be issued to your account. There are no refunds or credits after the second class unless accompanied by a doctor’s excuse. A $5 cancellation fee will be issued if check refund is requested. Only a Director of the program area can issue a voucher or check request.
