What is Smartphone?
A mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, Internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded apps.In a nutshell, a smartphone is a device that lets you make telephone calls, but also adds in features that , you would have found only on a personal digital assistant or a computer--such as the ability to send and receive e-mail and edit Office documents.
History Of Smartphone
Smartphone were first conceptualized by Theodore Paraskevakos in 1971 and patented in 1974, and were offered for sale beginning in 1993. He was the first to introduce the concepts of intelligence, data processing and visual display screens into telephones which gave rise to the "smartphone.“
Paraskevakos , working with Boeing , demonstrated transmitter and receiver that provided additional ways to communicate with remote equipment
