Factorial Notation

Definition:n! = n•(n-1)•(n-2)•(n-3)• ......•3•2•10! = 1

Examples:4! = 4•3•2•14! = 24

n is the number of objects available to be arranged

r is the number of objects that are being arranged.

The Triangle Method ...

We use the triangle method when the vectors are arranged tip-to-tail.

Scale: 1 cm = 2 km

Remember, we use measurements with a ruler and protractor to find the "answers."
